How the Outpost Was Made....

Ever wonder how this page got started? Well, it is a very long story really. Huge really. The part up now is only like, a fraction of the story, the rest is coming so don't worry. It is all very odd, we still don't fully understand it, but we know it all happened. Some people think this is all a bunch of angel dust, but it is true. Very true.

Ronan's History: Well, Ronan's fate was decided since his babysitters. Okay, this is gonna get complicated so stick with me. Okay, Ronan's babysitters all like to watch MTV back then. This was like the late 80s so that should give you a good idea of the time period. Well, Ronan's mom didn't like that so Ronan, still very young, picked up on that strong dislike of MTV. Really, for one time in my life, he thought MTV was the antichrist. No joke. So do you understand? Ronan learned to hate MTV from his mother because his babysitters watched it all the time.

Jesse's History: Jesse has an older brother by about, oh, say, 7 years I think. Because of this Jesse was always exposed to MTV and never really was turned away from it. Up till last year Jesse had a poster of Marky Mark on his wall. He even still has an old, crummy poster of Slash of Guns 'n Roses on his wall.

How Jesse and Ronan got together: Well, really Jesse and Ronan have known each other since like preschool, sorta. It wasn1t 'till 2nd grade they really started doing stuff. They both took an interest in a book series, "Cam Janson." Ugh, it brings back bad memories. Well, Ronan's impressions of Jesse was this kid who had this whole different kinda life, sorta a curiosity, That's what Jesse thought of Ronan. Probably an easy target. You have to remember up to that time, Ronan was a brain child, someone who didn't get a single joke, and thought MTV was the antichrist.

How Ronan started to watch MTV: Well, on our cable service the order of channels is this:
.....32: TNN, 33: ESPN, 34: Comedy Central, 35: VH1, 36: MTV......
Well, for some odd reason Ronan thought 34, 35, and 36 (Comedy Central, VH1, and MTV) were all the same channel. Okay, now Ronan started to watch Comedy Central stand up. I mean lots of it because of Jesse was able to get more of the jokes because he had a better grasp of reality. Well, sometimes during the commercials on Comedy Central Ronan would flip up through the channels, to VH1. First step complete: Now Ronan watchs VH1 sometimes, still very rarely. Well, eventually Ronan watch both Comedy Central and VH1. Also, since VH1 would play the same thing as MTV so Ronan found himself watching MTV. It was complete, Ronan had broken away from the antichrist idea to a better reality.

So where are we now?: Ronan watches MTV and VH1. Mainly VH1 because his Mom won't freak out as much and they play cooler stuff. He's pretty much stopped watching Comedy Central as much as he used to because it isn't as good as it used to be.
Jesse still has the old pictures of his previous life. He watches more VH1 than MTV because, well, for the same reason Ronan doesn't. Together Ronan and Jesse like pretty much like the same music stuff.

So, now the plot thickens doesn't it? Here is how it works:
Jesse still is listening to mainly Greenday and hard rock. Ronan is now in the process of begining of liking it. That means anything Jesse likes, Ronan will like, Ronan doesn't raelly have a choice. But somehow Hanson works their way into the story, how though?

Well, lets see!
Jesse is at the point where his philosiphy is "Hanson and the Spice Girls stink". Now, this is a point of transition. The whole thing kinda flip-flops. Jesse, who was completely broken away from videos except for Bon Jovi and stuff, talks to Ronan all summer and the topic pops up about Hanson. Now, Ronan, who is a complete Hanson/Spice freak by this point makes Jesse stay tuned. "Just watch them." Well, he made Jesse watch them enough that they kinda grew on him. and now the circle was complete. But what about the webpage?
