"The Ethiopian Collection" has just been published by the University of Oregon Museum of Natural History.
The book features lively essays on the history, religions, and artistic traditions of Ethiopia as well as an introductory essay by Ethiopian scholar and social historian Richard Pankhurst of Addis Ababa University. Geographer, historian and Ethiopian native W. M Akalou acted as consultant.
The essays accompany 35 black and white photographs of: illustrated manuscripts, paintings, magic scrolls, musical instruments, metalwork, basketry, textiles, and pottery.

The book has 50 pages, a high-quality soft cover, and costs $15.00 (add $3.00 postage and handling for 1 to 3 books.). All proceeds benefit museum public programs.
