Dear Necilia, thank you for your offer. At this time we still have no central organization to coordinate the event, although many bands volunteered (US, Great Britain). We will set a special account with the Haile Sellassie Humanitarian Foundation for tax-exampt contribution, but in my letters to musicians I stress that this summer it could be only on the grass-root level, advising them to hold at least one concert around HIM birthday on July 23. I will ask my daughter Alexandra to mail you some of our promotional materials. If you are willing to work with us, I put you in touch with our people in DC. Consider subscribing to Sellassie Forum & Book Club (mostly Rastafari) @ http://www.egroups.com/group/sellassie -- there are people on this list who can help. Our main problem is the lack of time. Hello to your daughter.
Yours, Anatoly, Esther and Family

It is our intention to pass the word about the Children of Jah Reggae Benefit Concerts and raise conscience, awareness and contributions through distributing newsletters, photography, booklets, leaflets, pictorial books, posters, etc. Is this acceptable??? We do not wish to do anything to hinder the efforts of the Children of Jah organizers... please answer via e:mail at (Necilia_V._Jones@hud.gov) if you have any questions or concerns write or call me at the following address: Necilia V.
