5.8.01

I have just six school days left. And I think I'm going to skip on Friday, which makes it five. I am not sure what I'll do on Friday, but I have several projects that need doing. Some major work here might be one of them.

I am going to remove the writing section, because I am never going to finish or update it, and I feel uncomfortable having things I wrote and put some time into (no matter how crappy they appear in retrospect) up on the web, because I fear plagarism. Maybe I'll leave a brief outline of my writing life, maybe not.

I also ought to modify the spalsh page, or insert a second one, to the effect that this page is, shall we say, in hibernation, for the time being. Because I do still have dreams and plans, though often vague, about getting my own domain name and having a snazzy, living site again. But I ain't telling what domain name I want, because, again, I am paranoid that someone else would take it. I will say that the domain name that I would kill for doesn't show up as registered on register.com, which makes me happy. The second domain name I want, for future, future plans, is taken, however, but the registration expires next year.

Next year I will be attending Wesleyan University, and so will probably not be buying up any webestate anytime soon. I'll be studying all sorts of interesting stuff, like Russian mainly, and starting maybe Italian, maybe Japanese, maybe German, maybe some other language, or, of course, maybe no other language. I'm going to take chemistry, and I don't know what all else. But I am looking forward to it so much, that I am going to just scream and run out of my high school and never come back.

That would make an interesting end to my speech at graduation...

If you'd like to be proud of me, I am going to be salutatorian, or maybe possibly valedictorian, of my school. If you'd like to be jealous, or indifferent, I am still going to be salutatorian, or maybe possibly valedictorian, and as such I have to make a speech. And I don't have a clue about what I should say.

I am getting better at spontaneous speaking in public though, because since September I have been doing a radio show with a few other people from school. It's called On the Prowl, and on the meet the DJs section, I'm the one with funny colored hair.

In late December I started my own show, World Rhythms which I do all by my lonesome (and you try talking to yourself every five, ten minutes for two hours!). I play music from around the world, mostly stuff I find off charts from radio stations' websites, and do some research on the artists, and groove while I'm alone in the studio. Every so often the station manager comes in while I am groovin' and scares the bejeesus out of me, but it is all good.

Anything else in particular, I cannot remember.
