Today I spent quite a bit of time picking up trash, in my own yard. Real schmoiklers, those people who owned this house vefore. "Pigs," to quote my father. Broken glass -- literally buried in the yard -- rope, chain, two old tires, various chunks of wood and a lot of disintegrated plastic pieces. I guess they just dumped stuf in their yard. It makes me mad! Talk about lack of environmental awareness!

So, my mom and I took all this stuff to the dump and it was hot and smelly and there were giant trucks defecating in the unloading place. The dump has been a "favorite" place of mine since I was little, mostly because of the smell.

Fortunately, that wasn't the end of the day. I went with my parents, my sister, Amanda, and her friend, Emily, and had dinner at a Thai restaurant. It was really good food, we were the only ones there and the guy was really friendly.

He was kind of surprised to see my parents come in with three girls, so my mom told him only the two pink ones were hers, the brown one was borrowed and he thought that was pretty funny. My dad had squid salad, and I got thai tea, which was really sweet. After the guy brought it, Amanda, Mum and Emily all had to taste it, realize that it wasn't nasty-weird and order their own.

The guy took a liking to Emily -- she was brown like him -- and he squatted down to show us how the Chinese eat, told us why they use chopsticks (to get noodles which don't work with spoons), said I was a good girl for eating all my rice, and gave us three girls packets of M'n'Ms. So my dad gave him a ten dollar tip.

Then we went and saw the Phantom Menace which was rather screwy and disapointing.
