English assignment - 2 page handwritten fastwrite, 'Money and What it Mean to Me,'

Half done. Money is meanless, it is the means by which we acquire material goods in exchange for our labor.

World History (henceforth referred to as Wo. His. (woe, hiss)) assignment - hour long presentation on three ancient African civilizations. Have group. Group tries, but not too hard, has failed to nearly anything done. Chose Egypt, Kush and Mali, only productive output. No mentionable info on Kish or Mali. I hate this. It makes me fr*cking miserable!

Health (taught by same as teaches Wo. His.) assignment - 6-9 minute presentation on food additives. Have FDA brochures, plenty of info. Lack enthusiasm and.or interest. Doesn't make me as miserable as Wo. His. does. Don't think about it very often.

Academic Decathalon - Have until December to learn about the Brain, opera and read Siddatha (sp?) and some other wierd book, plus some odd poems.

Future Problem Solving Scenario - in good shape on this one. Read available packet on topic 'Under the Sea.' Due sate not listed but it can't be til March. Have lots of questions about undersea life, the beds, etc.

I wish Wo. His., English (it's a pathetic class, it really is), and Health (commented on this class previously) would just cease to exist. The rest of the world, then, I could deal with, and cheerfully too. Without English I could sleep in another hour.

Sometimes I hate school torribly. It seems so useless! Why must we read babyfied versions of the Illiad? Why must I listen to my classmates interpret every poem of Sappho's as 'She's a lesbian!'? Why must school start at 7:50 am when it has been proven you learn more when school starts later?
