Lynne's Concert Review
PC's experience
I met the guys at the Nickelodeon All That Festival
that took place on June 30, 1999 at the E-Centre in Camden
New Jersey. The concert began at 7:00 but we (my friend Viki,
Raaya, and Raaya's Cousin) wanted to get there early so we
left around 3:00. When we got there my mom dropped us off
and we went and stood where the tour buses would soon be
pulling in. We, and about 30 other girls were all standing
there impatiently when we didn't feel like standing there
anymore.(what would you actually be able to see inside the
tour bus?) So we walked around some more, and my friend
said that she was able to get into the concert(the lawn
area) before they even opened the gates, so we went and tried
to get in from the side entrance. Well there were a ton of
people standing around and then my friend decides to open the
gates and go and wait in the bathroom. Well she did just
that, her along with my friend's cousin went into the bathroom.
Then all of a sudden a janitor comes out and we call him
over hoping to let us in and to meet the bands performing.
He said that he couldn't let us in, and that he would try
and get us backstage tickets for another concert if we told
him a long time in advance. So my friend Raaya asked him
for *N Sync backstage tickets. And the guy said that he
would try and get them for her, so she wrote down her number
and since the conert is tomarrow (July 8,and 9) I doubt she
is going to get in. So anyway, since he wouldn't let us in
we went back to where the busses were pulling in. By that time
we saw Aaron Carter, No Authority, and I think 3rd Story all
playing Basketball together. It was so cute, Aaron was on
Tommy Boy MCarthy's shoulders getting the ball in the hoop.
(Sorry no pictures) So since the gate was opening and closing
not too many people were getting to see them but me and my friends
because we were sitting right next to where the gate was opeing
and closing. So anyway, a girl (like a spokeswomen for No
Authority) was going around sayinig that the guys will be singing
autographs at 5:00 at the main entrance. So we rushed back
to the front gate and by that time the gates were opening.
I stood in line to meet No Authority, as well as my friends.
Then the time came and I met No Authority! It was great!
They are a great bunch of guys, who look like they are really
happy to be doing what their doing. I think the nicest was
Ricky G, basically because he was talking to me and my friends
for atleast 20min. It felt longer but i believe it was for only
20min. So, we told him that they sang really good and we
couldn't wait to see them in concert. He was really surprised
to see that i had the new single which is "What I want to do"
(so go and get it, it is really good!!) So they all signed the
Cd and a picture that they were selling there. And he said
"Since you have the single you better be singing along with
them while they sing it!" and I said, "Ok." So we said
our goodbye's and went to find our seats which was row 20.
It was the pit, and then we were row J. So we had really
good seats. So, they did their thing, and I have to say, I
know this is a BSB website and I know that BSB Fans are
going to be reading this, but I have to say that No Authority
can shake their booty! They are like tied with The Backstreet Boys and *N Sync!
They totally ruled that stage! they
opened up with "Don't stop" and then "What I wanna to do"
and then 2 other new songs that will be on their album comming
out this summer sometime. So, they were done and next was
the cutie, Aaron Carter. I have never been to a Backstreet
Boys concert but I heard that Aaron Carter opened up for them
and he did really good with his dancers and all. But when i saw
him at the concert, he didn't have any dancers! I think it
made a bigger difference. Ohh well, that is my opinion. So anyway
he opend up with "Everybody Get Wild" and then did 3 other songs
including "Candy Girl" and in which he threw candy out into
the audience. It was really cute! But after that we heard that
No Authority was doing another signing so we went after them and got
them to sign more things.(I'll scan the signed CD) We saw
my friend Raaya standing in line so we went and jumped in line
with her and she said that she went up to Ricky and he said
"Where are your other friends?" (meaning me and Viki) so she said
that we would be comming soon! So we were standing in line
and these annoying girls (like 12 years old or so) were bugging
us because my friend new where *N Sync would be comming
when they come to philly, but she wouldn't tell them. I didn't
know but if I did I would have told them. Ohh well, so anyway we got into
the line and then Danny said "Want to take a picture?" So I said ok
and my friend took the camera and took a pic of me and Danny.
It came out great, don't you think? So anyway, I got autographs
from teh rest of the guys and my friend Raaya says, "Want to give
them our phone numbers?" So I said yeah, and we ripped the EYC
cared that our radio station gave us and wrote our numbers
addreses, e-mail addys and like so much more useless information.
So my friend walks up to the security guy and says"Can you give
this to the guys?" and the security guy says, "Give it to them
yourself!" So she walked over to their bodyguard and gives
it to him to give to the guys. Well he gave them to Ricky G
and he turned around and smiled. It was so cute. But I didn't
get a phone call that night!! DAMN!!lol. So anyway, we go back
and watch the rest of the concert which was Tatyana Ali, Monica,
and 98 Degrees. I really didn't like 98 degrees before i went to the concert, but after
seeing them they are really awesome! So that was my
experience at the "Nickelodeon All That Tour" on June 30, 1999! Hope to hear from some of you
soon with your experiences and pictures!! Thanks for reading!
