MacLEAN, Mary - 97, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Stellarton, and Lourdes, died August 9, 1992, at the manor. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Katherine Nearing. She was a resident of Stellarton and Lourdes for most of her life, residing in Glen Haven Manor for the past few years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. She worked for many years at Maritime Tel & Tel as a janitor. She is survived by a son, Neil, Hamilton, Ont.; daughter, Sharon (Mrs. Richard Lawrence), Dartmouth; nine grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband, Neil; son, Bernie; brother, Ralph; sister, Ann. The body is in H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. MacLEAN, Michael Daniel - 81, Baddeck, Victoria County, died August 8, 1992, in Sydney City Hospital. Born in Washabuck, Victoria County, he was a son of the late Rod D. (Red Rory) and Ellen Ann (MacLean) MacLean. He was a member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church. He sailed on the Lakeview for 14 years and was in the Canadian Navy for six years. He was employed at Little Narrows Gypsum Company and National Historic Alexander Graham Bell Museum Corps of Commissionairs. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Ann MacNeil; two sons, Michael, Roddie, both of Baddeck; four daughters, Mary Ellen Matheson, Little Narrows; Rosaire Jenkins, Bernadette Matheson, both of Baddeck; Ann Skid- more, St. John's, Nfld.; brother, Joe, Washabuck; four sisters, Mary Doherty, Baddeck; Faye MacNeil, Toronto; Florence MacDonald, Sydney; Mary Agnes MacLennan, Benacadie; seven grandchildren. MacLEAN, Margaret - 85, Albert Bridge, Cape Breton County, died September 9, 1992, in Sydney City Hospital. Born in Albert Bridge, she was a daughter of the late Dan and Sarah (MacIsaac) MacDougall. A graduate of Sydney City Hospital School of Nursing, she was a registered nurse, working in Sydney City Hospital lab, retiring in 1976. She attended Westminister Presbyterian Church, Sydney. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Neil R.; sister, Effie; two infant brothers. She recieved her early education in Pictou County and attended Mount Allison University, N.B. and graduated from Columbia University, New York. She taught schools in Halifax and South America and then returned to Montreal and worked with the Royal Bank of Canada in a teaching capacity. She was a member of Trinity United Church, New Glasgow and Unit B and was a member of University Womens Club. She is survived by a brother, Leslie, Halifax; four nieces; a nephew. The body is in R.H. MacLEAN, Ronald James - 70, 2475 Clifton St., Halifax, died October 5, 1992, in Halifax Infirmary. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Charles and Anna (Wright) MacLean. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the RCN. In his younger years, he was well known in hockey, fastball and softball circles in Halifax. He worked in the hardware business in Halifax, Toronto and London, Ont. He is survived by two nieces, Lorraine Marshall, Toronto; Marilyn (Mrs. David Stinson), Ottawa. He was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Boone. The body has been cremated under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Society and was an associate of Congregation of Notre Dame. She was a former member of the New Caledonian Curling Club, Pic- tou and had received her Curl Canada Accreditation. McLEAN, Duncan - 94, Cold Lake, Alta., died November 29, 1992. Born in Scotland, he was a son of the late Duncan and Jane (Clark) McLean. He resided for many years in Halifax. He is survived by a son, Duncan, Angus, Ont.; daughter, Sheila (Mrs. Royden Moon), Cold Lake; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth; six sisters; two brothers. Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in Lakeland Lutheran Church, Cold Lake, Rev. Frank Netter officiating. Cremation to follow. MacLEAN, Frederick Peter (Freddie) - 83, Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou, formerly of Sydney Mines, died December 4, 1992, at the home. Born in Roachvale, Guysborough County, he was a son of the late Christopher and Clara Belle (Whalen) MacLean. He was an adherent of Carman United Church, Sydney Mines and drove a taxi in Sydney Mines for many years and had also worked in the Sydney colleries. He is survived by three nieces, all of Guysborough County. He was predeceased by a sister, Hazel. The body is in Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home, visiting after 7 p.m. today. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

MacLEAN, Bernice L. - 65, Middlefield, Queens County, formerly of Liverpool, died December 5, 1992, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. Born in Westfield, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Edward and Stella Maude (Mansfield) Wamboldt. She is survived by a daughter, Gloria (Mrs. Joseph Burke), Coqueranel, B.C.; three sons, Gaire, Douglas, both of Vancouver, B.C.; Lester, Truro; three sisters, Violet (Mrs. Harry Fancy), Caledonia; Thelma (Mrs. Irving Whynot), Barrie, Ont.; Murial, Brampton, Ont.; two brothers, Vernon, Bramalea, Ont.; Douglas, Brampton, Ont.; nine granchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by 10 sisters, Evelyn, Daisy, Ora, Elsie, Luella, Norene, Marie, Pearl, Yvonne, Frances; brother, Arnold; two half-sisters, Winnifred, Belle; three half-brothers, Clarence, Lewis, Percy. The body was in Chandler's Funeral Home, Liverpool, where funeral was held Sunday, Rev. Robert Allabey officiated. The body will be cremated. Burial will be at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery, Westfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.

McLEAN, Gary Royce - 33, Dartmouth, died December 14, 1992, at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of John and Clara Baker, Dartmouth. He is survived by four brothers, Howard McLean, John Baker, both of Dartmouth; Darrell McLean, Brantford, Ont.; Paul McLean, Jasper, Alta.; two sisters, Dawne Marie Black, Dartmouth; Cynthia (Mrs. Gerald MacLeod), Dundurn, Sask.; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a nephew, Randall Black; maternal grandparents, Arthur and Helena White. The body was cremated. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Courtney Road, Dartmouth, Rev. Mike MacDonald officiating. MacLEAN, John Douglas - 59, North Provost Street, New Glasgow, died December 22, 1992, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Thomas Henry and Ethel Mae (Crosby) MacLean. He was an employee of Thompson and Sutherland and member of Christian Fellowship Church, New Glasgow. He is survived by two sons, Tony, Ontario; John Douglas, Alberta; three sisters, Shirley, British Columbia; Alice, Prince George, B.C.; Diane, Dryden, Ont.; five brothers, Thomas, Trenton; James Earl, New Glasgow; Donald Francis, Alma, Pictou County; David, Robert, both of British Columbia; several grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard. The body is in R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Christian Fellowship Church, Abercrombie Road, Pastor Bruce Morrison officiating. Burial will be in the spring.

MacLEAN, John Allan - 75, Orangedale, Inverness County, died December 22, 1992, in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Born in Orangedale, he was a son of the late Allan and Maggie (Gillis) MacLean. He was a retired farmer and lumberman and an adherent of the Presbyterian Church of Canada. He is survived by a sister, Christine, at home. He was predeceased by two brothers, Duncan, Angus; sister, Margaret. The body is in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh, visiting 2-9 p.m. today. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Whycocomagh, Rev. Lorne MacLeod officiating. Burial will be in Stewartdale Cemetery.
