January 2, 1998 Road Trips and A New Year

Well I'm back and actually feeling better than I have in awhile. The trip was great. I went and saw my Aunt Ruth Wednesday. We had soo much fun whether it was watching Sleepless in Seattle (one of my fav. movies) or sitting in the car smush or eating marblized ice cream that is only made where she lives. Wednesday night, We headed to my other aunt's house. I have 3 4-legged cousins there. But I mainly saw 2 of them because Maddie is a shy puppy. Last night we were eating dunner and Maddie was watching us smiling away because she had a piece of glass protecting her. It was soo cute. I had never seen a Cocker Spaniel smile like that before. While we were there we went and saw The Prince of Eygpt and decided that they did a good job of getting to the point even though it was the exact replica from the Bible but they tell you that at the beginning. It was really amazing that they made a cartoon moive that I plan on buying for myself because it was SSSOOO good. On the way home, I was thinking of what my New Years Resolutions would be. I can't think of anything that I know I will keep. If I say it is to lose weight and try to diet I know myself well enough to know I won't stick to the diet. And if it's to be a better sister, it probably won't happen because sisters will always fight. I try to be the best sister I can be to my little sis because I know one day she'll come to me for advice and try to be a responsible human being...I don't think that'll happen for awhile though...j/j. I love my sister to death even though I sometimes don't act like it. I also wondered why we make New Years Resolutions. 75% of them we will probably break and the other 25% are things that we say trying to be funny knowing that we would not do them anyways. Well that's for most of us and then there are some who stick to their Resolutions. They are people I respect because they have that strong self control that I'm slowly gaining day by day. How many resolutions will you stick to this year? See if you can stick to most of them if not all of them....just a thought. Love always, Alice P.S.- I'm thinking about creating a New Years Resolutions page that can be changed as the months go by either deleting them if you achieve em or adding to the list if you like this idea drop me a line and if you want your resolutions up give them to me.
