A True Friend

A true friend is someone who will be there forever,

And will care.

They will come to you when needed,

And say they will always be there.

A true friend won't be unreasonable,

Or pressure you at all.

Instead they will respect you,

And catch you if you happen to fall.

A true friend will listen to your problems,

Even though they have a zillion.

This is what a true friend is,

And they are one in a million.

Am I?

Am I like a star?

Blazing in the night

Giving this cold, dark world

A little more light.

But how can one,

Shine bright enough?

Is it possible?

It sounds too tough.

But if the sky

loses a star.

Can you

Still see as far?

Am I like the rain?

Dripping downward to the ground

Never knowing

Where I will be found.

Each rain drop is like a person,

Different in their own way.

Reacting differently to things

each and every single day.

Each rain drop is important,

Though they all look the same at the start.

But would you be able

To tell them apart?

Love

Love is something amazing,

And it happens everday.

To each and ever person,

But in very different ways.

It may be love

For a friend

The kind you hope

Will never end.

It may be the love

For a significant other.

Not the kind of love,

You have for your mother*.

But a deeper love,

That you just can't explain.

You are happy with the person,

But without them you are in pain.

It may be a realized love

For a sister or a brother.

Even though you fight,

You still love one another.

It may be love

For the ones who raised you.

The ones who really cared

And loved you, too.

It may be the everlasting love

For the one up above.

The awesome person,

Who taught us what it meant to love.

My Way

I feel lost.

I don't know which way to turn.

My sense of direction has been burned.

And the only place my heart knows,

Is where I don't want to go.

Back to you where it feels protected

But that even that direction can't be detected.

I don't want to be where I am now.

And all I can wonder is how,

How did I get this far from you?

And all I know is that it's through.

You said goodbye and slammed the door,

Together forever is no more.

Or so you tell me time and again.

And all this nonsense makes my head spin.

Just tell me why and answer this question too.

Do you still love me the way I love you?

Afraid

I don't know what's happening.

I don't really want to.

I'm so afraid to lose you.

So afraid to be blue.

If you would just hold me,

In your arms so tight.

And tell me that,

Everything will be all right.

I am so scared

That you will leave me again.

Just thinking about it,

Makes my head spin

Some people say

"Love conquers all"

And I believe it does,

But it doesn't break the fall.

Don't Worry About Me

I'm okay.

Don't worry about me.

You don't really see,

The person I am.

The person hiding within.

Someone so scared, lonely

And fill with anger and distrust.

But you don't see this.

Because you don't care

All that matters to you is clothes or hair.

But I still lend an ear

To hear your worries and fears.

"True" Friend

Where are you when I need you,

To tell you all my worries, my pain.

Not here to listen and lend some comfort.

Instead you'd rather be somewhere else.

So I don't tell you my pain, my worries.

Because I know you'll never understand.

And the mask I wear is for you

And everyone just like you.

Who are there for the good times

But leave when things get bad.

Who'd rather talk about guys then why I'm sad.

And so I congratulate you

But not for being a friend

But for hurting someone who need you most

Someone you might need in the end.

But where will I be when you come beckoning.

Here to listen and to act like I care.

But I really won't want to hear it.

Because you've done me so wrong.

But I'll be there because I know

In my heart how to do right.

The Game

Don't try and play

Those silly games with me.

Don't flirt with the words you say.

I don't wanna hear you plea.

I see those games you use

To try and catch a girl.

And I remember it was the same with me.

It makes me want to hurl.

You said you'd be there

Forever and always

So how is it fair

That you aren't.

And I need you, dear prince,

To be there for me.

But where are you when I call,

Flirting with some girl under the tree.

So say what you say.

And do what you do.

But don't expect me to coming running,

When you need me to.
