Wilmer Foster attended school at New Blaine, Logan Co., AR and Paris, Logan Co., AR. He worked as a miner. On His farm he had raised cotton at the “old Zopher Foster farm across from Dent’s house”. He took cotton to Subiaco gin and provided the cattle with the seeds. Wilmer joined the Army Air Corps 22 Feb 1943. He served in Italy as auto operator driving 2 ˝ ton trucks carrying ammo. He was discharged 26 Oct 1945. He attended school in Russellville and Ft. Smith, AR. In Dec 1981, Wilmer had a spinal cord injury and was forced to retire.

Donnie Wayne Foster attended school in Russellville, in Taft, CA and graduated in Fort Smith. Donnie enlisted in the Army on 8 Jun 1964. He spent a year in Korea. In 1966, he went to Viet Nam for eleven months and received the Purple Heart. At Fort Polk, LA he served in the Army for 4 years.

Donnie worked for Sears before joining the Fire Department in Fort Smith. While fighting a house fire he injured his back and retired as his father had. He attended Westark Community College and he received an A.A. in business. He is now the credit manager of the Credit Union for the City of Fort Smith employees. Nancy worked for seven years as superintendent’s secretary in an insurance claims office.

Randall Gene Foster attended school in Ft. Smith, AR. When he was 16 years old, he went deer hunting and his gun discharged. The bullet hit him in the arm. The doctors rebuilt his arm but he still has a piece of a slug lodged in his throat. Randy works in construction.

Ronnie Mitchell Foster attended school in Russellville, in Taft, CA and in Ft. Smith, AR. He enlisted in the Army on 27 Mar 1969 and trained at Ft. Polk, LA. He served twice in Viet Nam. After discharge, he went to San Diego, CA and worked 10 years for Pacard To Secret on ships and missiles. His work took him worldwide. In 1984, he moved his family back to a farm in Chismville, AR. He does electric work in Ft. Smith, AR and his wife, Barbara, works in a bank in Charleston, AR

Nila Mae Foster of Paris, Arkansas died Wednesday, December 17, 2008, in her home. Ms. Foster was 82 years, 8 months, and 17 days old. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Olean "Rose" Davison. Ms. Foster was a homemaker; a member of the Phoenix Village Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas; and a member of Harmony Chapter-Order of the Eastern Star in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Ms. Foster was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years: Wilmer A. Foster; a grandson: Jeremy Foster; and a brother: Bobby Davison. She is survived by a daughter: Belinda Eckle, of Ozark, Arkansas; three sons: Dan Foster and his wife: Nancy, of Ratcliff, Arkansas, Ron Foster and his wife: Barbara, of Branch, Arkansas, and Randy Foster and his wife: Brigitte, of Greenwood, Arkansas; a sister: Ruth Rhinehart, of Midway, Arkansas; 6 wonderful grandchildren: Tod, Alena, Deanna, Mike, Joshua, and Amanda; 10 precious great-grandchildren; and many good friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at the Midway Assembly of God Church. Rev. Eldon Thomas, officiated the services. Pallbeareres were: Todd Foster, Mike Foster, Joshua Carter, Chris Pennington, Steve Rhinehart, and Billy White.
