Jacob Frost family were natives of NC, Jacob and Elizabeth were married in Alabama, their children were all born in Alabama. They moved to Mississippi for a few years, then migrated to Logan County, Arkansas in 1855 where Jacob farmed until his death in 1886.

John V. Frost served in the Civil War. He moved to Little Rock after the Civil War and continued farming.
