The Paris Express, dated 9 Jan 1930, “Frank F. & Herbert Freeman visited Ft. Smith with their mother, Mrs. Albert A. Freeman & sister, Mrs. E. R. Bass”.
The Paris Express, dated 19 Feb 1931, “Loice Freeman, 15, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Fielding Franklin Freeman, who live five miles southeast of town, died of burns received in an accident. The girl was found lying in the yard Tuesday afternoon where she had fallen with her clothes enveloped in flames, by her mother, who had returned from a neighbors home. The girl never regained consciousness & died about 7:30pm that evening. It was thought she caught fire in the open fireplace. Funeral services at Johnson Cemetery”.
