Nora Faye Downs Wednesday, July 14, 2010 Nora Faye Downs, 97, of Paris, died Friday, July 9, 2010 in Paris. Faye was born July 29, 1912 to her parents, G. W. and Jessie (Lacy) Biggs in Paint Rock Community. Faye was a homemaker, worked for 19 years as a nurse aide in local nursing facilities, was a longtime correspondent with the Paris Express writing the Titsworth Community news, was a member of the former Church of God at Driggs, and attended the First Baptist Church in Paris for many years and was a member of the Driggs Home Demonstration Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland O. Downs who passed away in l985, her parents and a sister, Foy Hazel Beck. Funeral Service was at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Paris with Rev. Clyde Vire officiating. Burial will be at Paint Rock Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris. She is survived by a son, Darien Downs and his wife Virginia of Paris; three daughters, Charlotte A. Davis of Paris, Sharon Downs of Paris and Karen Fairbanks and her husband Don of Paris; nine grandchildren: Dain Downs, Cheryl Biven, Brittney Melton, Scott Davis, Todd Davis, Ann Michelle Harris, Jade Anne Phelps, Kristi Bates and Lacy Reese; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends. Pallbearers: Scott Davis, David Reese, Steven Melton, Daniel Phelps, Dain Downs and B.J. Huggart.
