The Clarksville Democrat, dated 21 Mar 1912, Thursday, "Harve Jacobs of Harmony neighborhood found dead in bed Thursday morning of heart trouble, 65 years of age. He had been up at eight a.m. and went back to sleep. Mrs. Jacobs got up and lighted the fire without disturbing him and on going back to awaken him, found him dead. Mr. Jacobs was a faithful father of Arch Jacobs of Clarksville".

He was born at Hunt, son of the late Cecil and Bertha Johnson Clinton, member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Disabled American Veteran and was retired from the Veterans Administration where he served as chief of counseling and rehabilitation. Dr. Clinton received a bachelor of science degree in 1950 at Arkansas State Teachers College (now the University of Central Arkansas), master of science degree in 1951 from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and doctorate in education degree in 1974 from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Wanda Nunley Clinton; one son, Larry Clinton of Morrison, Colo.; one daughter, Carol Enderlin of Conway; one brother, Charles Clinton of Clarksville; uncle, Howard Clinton of Hunt; great-aunt, Hazel Johnson of Clarksville; and three grandchildren, Emily, Ross and Amy Enderlin. A memorial service was held Saturday, Sept. 11, in St. Peter's Episcopal Church with Rev. Greg Rickel officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Griffin Leggett-Conway".

Virgie Elaine Garrett Clinton 93, of Hunt Arkansas, died April 28, 2009, at her home. She was born on December 28, 1915, at the Cove Creek Community, Arkansas, to the late Sidney Wesley and Ora Elizabeth (Miracle) Garrett. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Sula Garrett, of Clarksville, Arkansas; three nephews, Keith Garrett of Smithville, Tennessee, Don Garrett and Charles Clinton, both of Clarksville, Arkansas; two nieces, Yvonne Williams of Huntington, Arkansas and Sue Forbus of Mablevale, Arkansas; eleven great nieces and nephews; fifteen great great nieces and nephews; and one great great great nephew. She is preceded in her death by her parents; her husband, Howard Clinton; and one brother, Sidney Hoyt Garrett. The funeral service for Mrs. Clinton will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2009, at the Liberty Hill Church, at Hunt, with Reverend Amos Pledger officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Garrett, Keith Garrett, Jerry Jones, Harley Parker, Mike Jacobs, and Gary Jacobs. Honorary Pallbearers will be Evelyn Hardgrave, Eurena Holland, Sybil Allen, and Rosalee Harden.
