The Herald Democrat, dated 25 Apr 1935, "Mr. Wilson Newton Lee, 55, Hunttown, died 15 Apr, at home, after a long illness. Burial: Liberty Hill Cemetery. He was a Johnson County surveyor and former merchant of Hunttown & owned/operated mined coal fields, died at home after a long illness. He was serving his third term as county surveyor. Survivors: Daughter; Mrs. Leroy Gray, Clarksville. Sons: Ted & Irving, Hunttown, Clyde, Oklahoma. Brothers; John Lee, Texas, James & Charles, Ozark".


Wilson Clyde Lee was a veteran of World War II.

Wilson Newton Lee had acquired the land surrounding the old Abraham Hardgrave mill in 1890 and had run it. Delilah Lee Gray recalled being warned about playing near the old mill site. Ted Lee became the next landowner.


The Herald Democrat, dated 28 Mar 1949, "Heart Attack Fatal To D. H. Jaggers Friday, grocer is stricken while driving on highway. D. H. Jaggers, grocery operator near Hartman, was driving his pickup truck along U. S. Hwy 64, had suffered a heart attack. His vehicle crossed a ditch and hit a tree. Slight damage to vehicle and no apparent injuries to driver. He was driving to Clarksville to get a load of fertilizer. Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Oma Jaggers, son; James L. Jaggers, both of the home. his mother and step-father; Mr. & Mrs. Tom Blevins, Hartman. Sisters: Mrs. Sol Childers, Las Cruces, N.M., Mrs. Zora Lee & Miss Lizzie Jaggers, Harmony & a brother, Oscar Jaggers, Harmony. Funeral service at the West Mount Zion Church. Burial: West Mt. He lost control of his vehicle on a curve 4 miles west of Clarksville on Highway 64, hit a culvert and overturned. He is survived by his wife, and sons: J. W., and Wendell Lee. Mother: Mrs. W. N. Survived by; sons; Therman Lee, daughter; Betty Lee, Tulsa, OK; daughter-in-law; Wilmas Lee McCool, Fayetteville; five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, & nine great-grandchildren. A native of Hunt, he was a son of the late Ted and Ancil Lee, World War II veteran, mechanic for American Airlines, for 33 years, and was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Lee. Survivors include his widow, Betty Lee; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Rebecca Lee and Jimmy and Donna Lee, all of Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter and son-in-law, Myra and Paul Volgamore of Tulsa, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Okla., with Rev. Dale Dyer officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home, Westwood Chapel, in Tulsa, Okla".
