The Herald Democrat, obit dated 13 Nov 1919, "Mary Ann Brown-Brinks died at Ozark, 28th Oct 1919, was born in Dale County, Alabama, the 21st of Oct 1829, being 90 years and 7 days. In 1870, she and her family moved to Ozark, where her husband died 18th Oct 1871. She moved to Johnson County, living in Lamar and Clarksville. In her last years, lived with her son, R. O. Brinks. She had eleven children, 5 sons & 6 daughters, three died before her".
