Mattie Francis Moore, 83, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, in Albuquerque, N.M. Lee Roy "Roy" Moore Sr., 90, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002.

Joint services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Beae Denton, pastor of Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church, and the Rev. Kevin Humphrey, USAF Chaplain, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Moore was born in Polk County, AR. He married Mattie Francis Luttrell on Nov. 11, 1939. He was a truck driver for Panhandle Associated Grocery and Mayflower Moving Co. He also worked for American Smelting and Refining.

After retiring as a truck driver for Amarillo Hardware, he drove a school bus for Amarillo Independent School District. He was elder deacon at Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church. He was known as "Boo" to his grandchildren.

Mrs. Moore was born in Vernon. She married Lee Roy Moore on Nov. 11, 1939. She was a retired government employee from Amarillo Air Force Base. She had also worked at Ponca Wholesale and at Alamo Glass. She was a longtime member of VFW Auxiliary. She was a member of Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church. They were preceded in death by a son, William Robert Moore; and a daughter, Velma Louise Moore Reese.

Survivors include two sons, Lee Roy Moore Jr. of Paris,Texas, and Harold Moore of Oxnard, Calif.; a daughter, Betty Jo Moore Gentry of Grand Prairie; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 18, 2002
