Tex Mex Black Bean Dip

1-15 oz. can black beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1/3 cup mild Picante sauce
1/2 tsp ground cumin and chili powder
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 Tb. fresh lime juice
corn or tortilla chips

Place the black beans in a small bowl. Partially mash the beans until they are chunky; set aside. Spray a medium skillet with cooking spray. Place it over medium heat adding onion and garlic. Saute for 4 minutes or til tender. Add beans, tomatoes, picante sauce and spices. Cook for 5 minutes or until thickened. Stir constantly and remove from heat. Add the cilantro and lime juice. Serve warm with the chips.
