A Poem I wrote for Nickolas

A Dream of Love
I dreamt you told me you loved me.
You embraced me in your caring arms.
I looked into your beautiful blue eyes.
And I fell deep in love with you.
You told me we'd be together one day.
Then with the sound of a pin, you were gone.
I opened my eyes and you were nowhere to be found.
You were there, I was here.
I shut my eyes trying to bring you back.
Tears rolled down my face and I held my pillow tight.
My dream was sweet, but reality had won the fight.
You see, only in my dreams will you ever be in love with me.
Because God never entended for you and me to be.
I'll still hold my head high and smile when I think of you.
But I'm always looking forward to my loving dreams of you.
I'll never get my chance to touch your hand or to feel your arms embrace me.
But in my dreams your with me always, and in my heart your with me forever.
