Not In The Junkyard Anymore...

It was a beautiful spring day, Victoria was in the junkyard and was happily walking along the lid of a narrow trashcan. Munkustrap walked by and Victoria lost her balance, falling off, and landing on him. "Victoria! Stop getting in the way of everything! We are trying to plot agnist Macavity here!!" Victoria shrunk back and looked at Misto who shrugged, "I'm to scared to dooo thisss!" Tumble shivered. Alonzo smiled, "You're such a coward!" He said and gave him a hard shove. "You have no heart Lonz..." Munkustrap muttered. Victoria looked at Misto with a frown. "What's wrong 'Stoff?" She asked. Misto sighed, "We'll their all counting on me to make a plan agnist Macavity, some brillant idea that will defeat him forever. I just can't hink of anyhting, it's liek I don't have a brain!" Victoria nuzzled him and skipped off, to find Jellylorum. She did and it seemed she wa in a bad mood too. "Victoria, you have got to stop chasing birds in Mrs. Yellowwits yard!!" "But mother I..." "No buts young lady, now march!" Victoria hung her head and sighed as she crawled itno a pipe. "Threr must be somewhere where I can be useful..." She was intterupted by a loud crash of thunder. Wind whipped by the pipe and she smiled as an idea hit her, "I know! I'll run away and try to find the place!" She took one more look at the junkyard and dashed off.

She ran with her life until she came to a lake, she peered in and sighed as she saw her own reflection staring back, with the same, bored look on her face. Then the image of her face grew fuzzy as the wind began to blow harder. She looked around and saw a mena faced woman walking across the street she glanced at Victoria with a mena looked and grabbed her by the scruff. "If you, one more time, chase those beautiful birds in my yard one more time, I will personally return you to your owners!" She dropped her on the ground hard and rode off on her bicycle.

Victoria looked around, a storm was coming, she needed to get back to the junkyard and quick! So she took off, but when she got there the place was bare. "They didn't even worry about where I was!" Victoria yelled, but her soft voice was carried away by the strong wind. She shut her eyes to hold the tears back and moved slowly due to the force of the wind. She saw a pipe and qucikly dove into it, hitting her head on the top she collasped and mutter, "Ow..." Then she looked outside the pipe, the wind whipped passed and flying by it went Alonzo, Munkustrap, Tumblebrutus, and Mistoffeless. They appeared to be drawing a map of Macavity's lair, they loked up and waved to Victoria who's jaw dropped, they passed and Mrs. Yellowwits came riding by on her bicycle, which turned into a broom, and Mrs. Yellowwits into a witch! She cackled evily and flew past, the wind blew even harder and the pipe disconnected itself form the ground! Victoria watched horrifed as she was tossed into the twister and thrown about, it was loud and frightening, Victoria covered her eyes with her paws and curled up tightly. Suddenly there was a loud *THUMP!* Then, everything grew awfully quiet. All Vici could hear was the loud beating of her heart. She slolwly opened her emerald green eyes and stared in amazment at the place before her. It was so colorful you could swear you were somewhere over the rainbow. It looked like a little town! With small houses, and little trees, whcih were pink and blue. Victoria blinked and stepped otu of the pipe. "H...hello?" She called. No awnser. "My goodness, I don't think I'm in the Junkyard anymore!" She brethed. A tiny speck on the horzion seemed to be getting closer and closer to the white jellicle, who froze in her place. It looked to be a large pink bubble of some sort, it rested in front of her and popped, inside was a beautiful cat who had a crown and a large smile. "Hello, I'm Glinda. Are you a good witch, are a bad witch?" Victoria was puzzled, "Oh, you see, I'm not a witch all. I'm Victoria. There was a large storm and a tornado came and swept me up, adn here I am!" "So, are you a good witch or a bad witch?" "But I already told you, I'm not a witch at all, are you?" "Of course! I'm Glinda the good witch of the east." "You're a wicth, but I thought all witches were ugly and green adn freakie and..." "Oh, no, those are only bad witches. Like the one you just killed." "No! I didn't kill anything!" "Yes, you did." Glinda waved her wond at the pipe, and under it were two feet, sticking out. Victoria gasped, "Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, you see, I was jsut..." *Giggles* "What was that?" Glinda laughed. "Those were the minicats, they are laughing becouse you've killed the bad witch of the south, the sister to the wicked witch of the west." *Giggles* "They're hiding form her becouse she torments them, but now they will come out beecouse there is nothing to be afraid of." Little cats emerged form the bushes and begind the trees, they wore funny little clothes that loked like they were made form flowers and tree leaves. Victoria smiled as a little one stepped up to her it must have been a child becouse of her hight. "Thank you for killing that, horrible, nasty, terrible, yucky, not..." She trialed off as she got a look from her mother. "Ahem!"

"Thank you

Mrs. for

Saving our lives

Our little hearts in your

name will thrive!"

Victoria smiled at the song and thanked the others as they handed her flowers and such. "Thank you all very much, but I must be getting home....is there anyway?" SHe looked at the sad faces, then at Glinda's smiling one. "You must go see the wizard of Oz. He's sure to help you." "But...how do I get there?" Vici asked. "First you must take this." Victoria felt her neck, there was a collar there, a ruby red collar! "What's this for?" "It used to belong to the bad witch of the south, but now it belongs to you. The wicked witch of the west will try to get it from you, NEVER give it to her." Victoria nodded. "Now, all you have to do, is follow the yellow brick road." Victoria noicted for the first time a yellow brick road, seeming to go on forever, winding through the center of town. She steped on it and smiled. Waving to all of the nice mini cats, and thanking them for being so kind, she began to skipp slowly down the yellow brick road, humming a song to help her on her way. "Follow the yellow brick road. Follow the yellow brick road. I'm off to see the wizard the wonderful wizard of Oz!!"

Victoria hadn't been walking for long when she came to a large corn field where the brick road forked. She paused and looked at the right and left lane. "Hmmm...I wonder which way it is from here..." "That way is always nice!" Vici spun around to see a scarecat pointing down the left lane. "That's funny, I could have sworn you were pointing the other way." She turned back around to study the lanes again. "Or, that way is also VERY good." Victoria looked at the scarecat whom was point now down the right lane! "Okay. Now I KNOW you were pointing the other way." "Yes well, you could take both ways!" The sacrecat now had both arms crossed, poimting at the right and left lanes. "Oh! Dear! I never knew scarecats could talk!" "Scare? Oh, no no. I can't scare a thing." As if to mark his words a crow landed beside him. "BOO!" He cried but the crow just glanced up at him, then went back to eating in the corn field. "Probley becouse I have no brains." The scarecat looked sad and hung his head. "Oh, come on now, don't be silly! Everyone has a brain." "No, not I. When I was made, all the farmer filled me with was up here was straw. Nothing more. He forgot my brain." "How sad! Well, I'm going to go see the wizard of Oz. He's going to take me back home, surly he can give you a brain!" The scarecat brightened and jumped off of his post with a grin. "Well then! Wee're off to see the wizard!" Vvictoria grinned back and joined in, "The wonderful wizard of Oz. We hear he is a wonderful wiz of all of the wizes there was!" The two cats linked arms and skipped down the yellow brick road.

"Gosh! Is it just me, or are you hungry too?" Vici aksed, as they stopped in front of an orchard of apple trees. Scarecat smiled. "Apples? Sure!" With that he reached up and plucked an apple, but much to Victoria's suprise the tree snached it back. "How would you like it if I came along and picked an apple off of you?" "Oh, we're very sorry, we'll go now.." Victoria said timidly, but was cut off by Scarecat. "No, just play along. AHEM! Come on Victoria, we don't want any of Those apples. There probley full of worms anyway!!" The trees scowled and with a cry of rage the trees began throwing the apples at the two felines. Victoria picked up an apple and smiled. Then the two ran off. It wasn't long Until they came to a little cottage in the woods. Victoria was walking through the thick trees, when Scarecat stopped her with a white paw. "Look! It's a cat made out of tin!" Sure enough, propped up beside a tree, ready to swing an ax was a black and white cat of pure tin. Victoria looked at him puzzled. "Is it just me, or did it say somthing?" Scarecat smiled, "I think he wants some oil." Victoria shrugged and looked around, "I don't.....see any." She said, dricting her words to the tincat. The tincats brown eyes looked down, victoriua followed his gaze and found a can of oil, laying in the lush green grass. "Ma Muth." Victoria picked up the can. "I think he said 'My Mouth." "Well, go ahead." Scarecat urged. Victoria stood on tippaw and squtirtted some oild on the tincat's mouth. With a rusty 'SQUEEK!" The tincat worked his jaw around, then sighed. "Thanks! It does feel good to talk again! Will you put some oild on my arms? I'm so sick of holding this darned ax!" Vici nodded and appliyed some black oil the his arms. Swing! Down went the ax. "Ahhhh! Thanx a bunch!" "I suppose you need to walk!" Victoria said, giving his legs a squirt. The tincat smiled, and swung his legs about. "There!" He said, walking slowly. He took the oild can with a smile, and applied the rest of it to him. "Ah! Much better!" He did a little jig and grinned. "Wow! Your amazing!" Scarecat said with a smile. "Yes, well.....I might be amazing, but I have no heart." Victoria frowned. "But...you must have a heart! Everyone has a heart." Scareat nodded. "No....it's empty." Tincat pointed to his chest. "Go ahead, bang on it!" Victoria did so and was suprised to hear her bang echo throughout the Tincat's body. "Dear me!" She said. "Well...I'm Victoria, and this is Scarecat. I lost my way home and he doesn't have a brain. We're goin to see the wizard of Oz, to see if he can help us. Surely he can help you get a heart! Would you like to come along with us?" Tincat grinned. "Would I?" He linked an arm through Victoria, who linked an arm through Scarecats. "Well then, weee're off to see the wizard!" "The wonderdul wizard of Oz!"

It hadn't been long until the three came to a darker end of the once happy bright forest. No birds singing, no sun shining, only dark black shadows played over the dark damp forest floor. "Gosh, there could be anything in there." Victoria muttered. "Yeha, like....Lions..." Tincat shuddered. "And...tigers." Scarecat shivered. "And even bears!" Vici groaned. "Linons...and Tigers.....and Bears.....Oh my....!" The three cuntinued to chant this to help then get out of the forest until suddenly......"RRRRRROWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "ACKKKK!!!!" Scarecat scram, and picked up a stick, "Don't make me use this!" He threatened, and Tincat raised his ax, "Yeah, back off.....uh........" "Lion! I'm a lion, ands I'm NOT afrid to fight any of you." He turned to Victoria, "How about you missy? How would you like to fight?" He made deep growling noises in the back of his throat and raised his fists. "Put 'em up, put 'em upppp!!!!!" He made a right jab at Vici, who doged and slapped the lion across the face. "Shame on you! Why don' you jsut go pick on someone your own size?" The Lion, who had promptly started bawling sat down on teh ground, holding his face, and cried. "I.....I'm too much of a coward!" "You better belive it! I mean.." Tincat was cut off by a mean look from Victora. "Now, Lion, tell me, why are you such a coward?" She kenlt beside him and stroked his fur. "I...I don't know! I'm still scared of the dark, and I'm spoussed to be the bravest animal in the forest!" He wiped his eyes and sniffed. "Well, we're going to see the wizard of Oz, and he's going to give me a brain, Tincat a heard, and take Victoeia back home." Lion looked up and smiled, "Do you think he could give me.......courage???" Victoeia smiled, "I don't see why not!" "Grrrreat!!!" (Hey isn't that a tiger line??) Anyway, Lion stood up and hugged all of the people gathered, "You guys are the greatest!" "Well, let's not waist time! We'reee, off to se ethe wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz!!!" Tincat cried, and the four of them linked arms, and skipped off down the yellow brick road, little did they know they were being watched by a pair of deep green eyes.

"Look at them! Just look! Merrily skipping down their little yellow brick road. "We'ree off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz!" The witch mimiked ina high pitchedd voice, skipping stupidly around the room. "Bah!! I'll have none of this! I must stop them! But how??????" She looled into her crystal ball and saw a beautiful feild of poppies, on the lane of the yellow brick road. "Of course, they can't skipp and sing while their asleep!" She waved her hand over the field's image and murmered, "Sleepppppp....Sleeeeeeppp!!!!!!!!!" Making the poppy field enchanted.

The four friends were walking down the yellow brick road, happy and laughing, they were coming up upon a poppy field, the beautiful red and golden flowers, blowing slightly in the faint breeze. "You know, I feel like I've known you guys all of my life, and yet I only met you this very day." Victoria said happily. Scarecat nodded. "Yeah! I know what you mean!" He said with a nod. There were mumers of agreement form the other two. "Oh, look a poppy field!" Victoria cried, and ran through the flowers, sttopping to sniff one. Lion grinned and sniffed at one two, "Ah....these smell soooo good!!!!" "Yeah......but I feel so *yawn* tired all of a sudden. Just let me lie here andrest for a little bit." Lion nodded and fell to teh ground beside the fast-asleep Victoria. "No! We have to get to the wizard's before sunset!" Tincat said, trying to pull Lion up. "Yeah! Tincat's right! Wwe can't just stop!!! WAKE UP!!!" Tincat frowned and shook Lion. "Come on!!!!! Please??!!" "Oh, no!!! This poppy field is cursed!!!!!" Scarecat said with alarm aperant in his voice. "The Wicked Witch of the West must have done this!!!!!" Tincat said, then turning to the sky he shouted. "HELP!!!" To anyone who could hear. Scarecat nodded and joined in on the cries. "Help!!!!!!!!!!!!" Then, miracls of miricals, it began snowing! "Uh....it's cold!" Victoria murmered and sat up. Lion sneezed and jerked awake. Tincat smiled and knelt down beside his new-found friends, "Thank you." He said silently. Victoria stood up and yawned. "Well, let's just don't stand here! We have to get to Oz!!!" The others cheered and stood up, getting back on track, when they got back to the yellow brick road they were astounded to see a beautiful city of green towaring somewhere far off in the distance. "Look!" Lion pointed with a furry huge paw. "We're almost there!!!!" The others grinned and linked arms, off to see the wizard of Oz.

As they neared the beautiful green city they came upon a large green door, blocking their entrance. There was a very large doorknocker and Victoria bravley knocked it. There was shuffleing and then a small window on the door opened, revealing a little man, no taller than the minicats, he was wearing a formal looking uniform and a tall furry hat, but what was strange was that it was all green. Victoria tried not to crack a smile as she looked at him, his little mouth twisted in a tight frown. "Didn't you SEE the SIGN????" The man asked, his brow forrowing. "What sign?" Tincat asked. "What sign?!! Oh....yes...what sign....." He dissappered then came cack, hanging a sign on the door, which he read aloud with the frown growing deeper with each word. "Let's follow the bouncing finger, shall we?" He asked, moving his finger over the words, "DO. NOT. KNOCK. THE. DOOR. KNOCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!" With that he slamed the window, the cats jumped back. "Oh, here's a bell, ring it Viccy." Scarecaty suggested. Victoria shrugged and pulled the string, making the bell ring. "Muuuch better." The little man popped back out again. "Now, what can I do for you?" When the cats stepped in they were taken back by the beauty of OZ. Everything was a raident glowing green. The little man who had let them in smiled and said, "Go get yourselves cleaned up and rested. I'll go talk to the wizard.

A little while later the four friends were standing outside a grat big, green, door where the wizard was. Victoria was smiling, her coat was almost shining as bright as her eyes, having been groomed and washed just a while ago. Tincat had been buffed and his tin sparkled as the sun caught it. Scarecat had been stuffed with new straw and he felt much better after a rest. Lion had been brushed and washed, little bows tied in his fur. All together they looked quite spiffy standing there. You'd of never guessed they had been walking all day. Suddenly, a voice rang out, "It's her! It's the wickied witch of teh west!!!" The four ran to the window, and sure enough, the witch herself was flying around on a broom, just above the city. "Look! She's writing somthing!" Another voice cried out. And teh people standing made the words out, as clear as day in the sky, GIVE UP VICTORIA!!!!!!!!

Viccy and the others gasped and looekd at eachother with fear in their eyes. But the towns people looked confused. "Who's Victoria? Who's that?" Sudenly the little man, or Keip, as they lened his name was, rushed out form behind the big green doors. "Can we see the wizard now?" Tin Cat asked. "Of course not! Now that we've had a Witch scare, he's so busy and....." He trail off when he saw he was talking to no one. Scarecat led the way to the wizard, followed closely by Victoria and Tin Cat, far behind was Lion. Tin Cat spun around. "LION! Hurry up!" "Er, uh, I.......have leg cramps, yeah right that's it leg cramps. Ouch! Pain in the LEGS! Gee those rabbit chases are geeting kind of wild...ah!" Lion scarm as Tin Cat grabbed him and began dragging him to see the wizard. The four came to a very large room with a very wide screen in front of them. "Who DARE talk to the Wizard?!" A voice boomed, suddenly a large green face appeared in front of them. It had devil like eyebrows and a very crooked frown, that seemed to point down endlessly. Vicctoria stepped forward, looking quite frightened. "We...we do.....sir." She said shakily. "WHO IS WE!??" The voice roared. "I'm Victoria, and this is Scarecat, Tincat, and Lion." Lion gave a timid wave from behind Tin Cat. "WHAT DO YOU WANT?????!!!!" Viccy winced. "Well, Scarecat needs a brain....and...and Tin Cat needs a heart........and.......well, Lion needs you to help him be brave, and I.....I want to go home." "WHAT MAKES YOU THINK I SHOULD DO THAT FOR YOU???!!!!!!!" "Well, we came all of this way, and we respect your greatness. We thought with your amazing smarts and wonderful...kindness, you'd just be willing to help us." Tin Cat spoke up. "HOW DARE YOU!!!!!!!! COME BACK WHEN YOU'RE WORTHY!!!!!!!!!!!" "How...how do we make ourslevs worthy?" Stamered Scarecat. "GET THE BROOM OF TEH WICKIED WITCH OF THE WEST AND BRING IT BACK TO ME, THEN I'LL SEE ABOUT HELPING YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "The witch? She's horrible! What makes you think we can actually get the WITCHS' broom??" Tin Cat asked, feeling rather upsetted. "The GREAT AND POWERFUL OZ HAS SPOKEN!" Suddenly the room seemed a blaze, hot fire poured form the wizards mouth. Lion have a mew of fear and begna running, he didn't stop running until he *SMASHED!* right through a big green window, the others following him. "Are you sure this is it?" "Are there any other huge castle around that you can see?" "Okay okay, your right I'm wrong!" "Isn't it always that way?" "You wanna make somthing outta it??" "GUYS!" The whisperes of teh four friends were getting a little loud for Victoria to take. They stood on front of what they were told was the witches castle. It was very dark and glommy, it ws made of grey faded stone, and everything had an evil air to it. It was HUGE. They were trying to figure out how to break in, and so far, so bad. No ideas whatsoever. There were about 100 guards all over the place. The witch was ready. "Gooooood. Gooood. I see Victoria is still waring th collar, which will soon be mine!" She cackled evil and waved a hand over the white queens image in her crystle ball. "Okay, so that's the plan got it?" *POOF* After explaining the plan to the other three Viccy suddenly vanished. "Victoria?!" Lion called in a hissy whisper. "Where'd she go?" Asked a stunned Tin Cat. "I don't know, but I'm sure the witch is behind it, coem on guys, we gotta go find her!!!!" Lion was shaking as he spotted three guards. "There......guys..." He stammered, pointing with a shaky paw. "Good job Lion, come on." "I have a better idea, I'll just stand here and cover for you guys." Lion said. "No way, you're coming with ys wether you like it or not." The three crouched behind a bush, talking in very low whispers, and watching the guards march iwht stren faces around the door to the castle. "Ready?" Scarecat whispered. "One, two....THREE!!!" The three, or should I say two ran out from behind the bush and began attacking the guards. "I feel so stupid." Scarecat muttered. He, like the others were dressed in the guards uniforms, and marching with the others. "Now how do we get in?" Lion asked trembling worse then ever now. "Looks like there's no way, guess we'll just have to turn around and leave." He whispered, turning around. "No so fast." Tin Cat hissed and grabbed Lion. "Don't you care about Victoria? She is trapped somewhere up there, and all you can think about is running away? We have to HELP her!" "Yeah!!!!!" Lion cried and ran stright into the castle, smashing the door to pieces. The Tin Cat and Scarecat looked at eachother and ran after the Lion. The other guards exchanged the smae look and ran after the four mystery guards. Viccy slowly opened her eyes, she was stiing in a chair...she was tied up in a chair. She looked around and gasped as the witch stared at her. "Give me the collar. " She growled. "Never!" Vvictoria awnsered. "Then I shall ake it for myself!" The witch touch teh collar, but was forced to quickly snatch her hand back as the collar shoot sparks at her and burnt her fingers. "Ow! You little brat!" "I'm sorry, it's not my fault!" "Well, you have....." The witch turned an hourglass. "One hour to decide wether you're going to give me the collar or not, or you will die." Victoria gasped and watched as the witch walked out of the room and slammed the door. "Arg! It's so big! We'll never be able to find Victoria now!" "SHHHH!!!" The two hushed Lion as he yelled the dark truth. Millons of doors drilled down the seemingly endless hallways which twisted and turned in all different places. "Well, let's get crackn'." Tin Cat said and opened a door, reveling a large dragon breathing fire. "ACK!" Tin Cat yelped and slammed the door. Hours passed and the three still hadn't found Victoria. Until....."Ah, this must be where she is." Scarecat said as they neared another door. "Why do you say that?" Lion asked. "A) It's a very big door B) I know the person who's writing this story C) IT'S THE ONLY DOOR IN TEH EITIRE CASTLE WE HAVEN'T TRIED YET!!!" "Shhhh!!!" Lion shushed. Scarecat rolled his eyes and quietly walked up to teh door, the others following. "Victoria?" He whispered in an almost unautoable voice. "Are you in there?" "Scarecat?" Came the very shaky, but sure awnser. "WE FOUND 'ER!!!" Lion cried. "SHHHH!!!" "Guys you gotta help me, I have one hour to give the collar to the witch or I die, but I can, take the collar off, Glinda said it would help me find my way home, what do I do?" The others shrugged helplessly. "Don't ask me, remember, I don't have a brain." Scarecat said sadly. Lion had set to work untieing Viccy, without anyone knowing. "Ha! You're free!" He yelled, standing up and helping Victoria up along with him. "Thanks!" She said, now, let's go get the witch's broom!" Everyone smiled and followed her out the door.
