£6. Nice old lady. Good points - Close to metro/centre, everyone stays there so good for info, cheap, neighbour is a taxi driver. Bad points - cramped, 1 toilet/shower, cold shower but you can pay for hot. There are other homestays but I always had a bed (7 nights)

Baku
Velotrek Hotel, nr 20th January metro within cycling velotrome (address in Lonely Planet)
$15. Clean, quiet, constant hot water, fan, TV. 4 metro stops from centre. Definitely best cheap place to stay in Baku, but few know about it. Recommended. (2 nights)

£8.41. First hostel in town, clean, quiet, dorm rooms only, constant hot water, fan, TV, breakfast included, internet, washing machine, central, 24 hr reception. Makes a change from homestays if you want western hostel comforts. Recommended.(3 nights)

£21. (for a double room reduced, single cheaper if you can get it). Clean, large ensuite, constant hot water, air conditioning, TV, inc great breakfast. Luxurious after a homestay or hostel. Recommended.(1 night)
