£22.14 Comfortable but expensive. 4 star camp We wrote off expense by visiting Legoland at 5.30pm for free because only 10 minutes walk away (1 night)

Varberg
(just north of Varberg heading towards Norwayon E06 Highway
£7.40. Run down. Basic but cheap. Kitchen out of action. (1 night)

*** Norway ***

Nr Honefoss
Tyrifjorden Campsite (just south of Honefoss on E16 heading away from Oslo)
£15.15. Nice lakeside location. No kitchen. Expensive for what it was. (1 night)

Bratland
Bratland campsite (outside Bergen)
£14.31. Good facilities. But crowded in August (1 night)

Fjaerland
Boyan Campsite - Just south of Jostedalsbreen National Park on Highway 5 (after tunnel & toll booth)
£10.52. Lovely location with view of Glacier. Only 15 minutes from Glacier tongue. Good facilities apart from cooker. Recommended (1 night)

Otta
Otta Campsite - 1.5km outside centre by river
£9.26. Nice location next to river. Cheap. Good facilities. Recommended (1 night)

Steinkjer
Follingstua Campsite, E6 north of Tronheim
£11.78. Nice location next to Fjord. Clean Showers etc but no kitchen.(1 night)

Ballengen
Ballengen Campsite, E6 en route to Narvik
£12.63. Nice location next to lake. Good facilities.(1 night)

*** Sweden ***

Kaaresuvanto
Kaaresuvanto Campsite, on other side of border to Finnish lapland
£6.66. Cheapest place on tour and had reindeer on site. Good facilities. But midges terrible. (1 night)

Lulea
Artus Campsite by lake
£11.11. Huge site. Great facilities (eg swimming pool - if open). Recommended (1 night)

Sundsvall
Flasians Campsite - south of Sundsvall
£8.52. Nice location by lake. Good facilities. Cheap (1 night)

Brooma, Stockholm
Angby Campsite - Stockholm suburbs
£11.85. Good facilities but shared by overland (eg Top Deck) groups who take over them. Free sauna! You can catch a metro into centre from here. A bit impersonal and very crowded in August (1 night)

Nr Borgholm, Oland Island
Kopingbaden’s Camping
£10.37. Nice location by lake. Owned by ex Swedish footballer. Nicest person we met in Sweden. Good facilities. Recommended (1 night)

Orestrand
north of Helsingborg on peninsula
£12.59. Nice location by lake. Good facilities but you have to move car offsite at night. Real pain.(1 night)

*** Germany ***

Osnabruck
Campingplatz Neidersachsenhof outside town in forest
£12.73 Pretty grim. No kitchen. No toilet paper. Miserable in the wet. Good points - lots of bunnies. I'd avoid this place though Osnabruck is ok.(1 night)
