Let's see, Mark and I met over the internet after he answered an ad I had put into the online personals. After talking over ICQ and email for about a month he drove all the way from Arkansas to meet me!! I was sooooo shocked that he would do that (but so glad he did.*G*). Obviously we have hit it off and all is going well. After his making a three hour trip EVERY weekend for about three months to come see me, I decided to go back with him a few times, not only to be with him more, but to meet his mother as well. I would spend a week at a time with him at first, then it was two weeks, then three weeks, LOL, I guess you know where this is heading.*G* I finally went ahead and moved in after about three months. I can't begin to tell you how much I love this man. Words just can't explain it!*G* He is the first man I have EVER met that still opens doors for his lady!!! AMAZING! There are a few gentlemen left aren't there?*S* He is the kindest, gentlest man I have ever met. He is just soooooo sweet! I love him with all my heart. So this page is kinda dedicated to him and us. Here's to you BOO-BOO!!!!! .

We will have been together one year on July 6, 2000!! It doesn't seem like a year, but it sure is!LOL We are still doing terrific. In fact, Mark just bought a house!

In Fact,We got married on Sept. 15,2001!!!

I can't believe Mark has stuck with me as long as he has. See, I have alot of health problems. :-( I keep asking him why he stays with me and he looks at me with those big blue eyes and says cause he loves me. Then he gives me a great big hug! He keeps telling me that he knew all about my health problems while we were talking over the computer and all, so he knew what he was getting into. It still makes me feel bad though. But I love him even more for it!!!!!

Happiness....
We convince ourselves that life will be better after
we get married, have a baby, then another.

Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough
and we'll be more content when they are.

After that, we are frustrated that we have teenagers to
deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are
out of that stage.

We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when
our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get
a nicer car, are able to go on a nice vacation, when we
retire.

The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than
right now.

If not now, when? Your life will always be
filled with challenges.

It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be
happy anyway.

One of my favorite quotes comes from Alfred D Souza.
He said, "For a long time it had seemed to me that
life was about to begin - real life. But there was
always some obstacle in the way, something to be
gotten through first, some unfinished business, time
still to be served, or a debt to be paid. Then life
would begin. At last it dawned on me that these
obstacles were my "life".

This perspective has helped me to see that there is no
way to happiness. Happiness is the way. So, treasure
every moment that you have and treasure it more
because you shared it with someone special special
enough to spend your time..and remember that time
waits for no one.

So, stop waiting until you finish school, until you go
back to school, until you lose ten pounds, until you
gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids
leave the house, until you start work, until you
retire, until you get married, until you get
divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning,
until you get a new car or home, until your car or
home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until
fall, until winter, until you are off welfare, until
the first or fifteenth, until your song comes on,
until you've had a drink, until you've sobered up,
until you die, until you are born again to decide
that there is no better time than right now to be
happy.

Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
