It is believed that my Randall lineage came to America from Hertfordshire County in England.I have hand written documents passed down from generation to generation. Some of the information has not been confirmed at a records office or church parish.I have Ruben Randall married to Sarah Hopkins at Toddington,Bedfordshire England on Sept.29,1819. extracted marriage records church Toddington batch no. m003911. no date of birth for either. From this union I have 12 children with birthdates for all, and christening dates and locations for some:Mary Randall b.d. Dec.4 1812 James Randall b.d.Nov.27 1814 Rebecca Randall b.d. Feb. 14 1816 Ruth Randall b.d.Oct.11 1820 Ruben Randall christened Mar.3 1822 at Toddington Bedfordshire County England Elizabeth Randall b.d. Sept. 6 1822 Joseph Randall b.d. Dec.30 1824 christened Feb. 1 1825 The Chapel Wesleyan Luton Bedfordshire England Caleb Randall b.d. Feb.6 1834 Frederick Randall b.d.June 19 1837 christened July 16 1837 St.Peters St.Albans Hertfordshire England. It is believed that Ruben Sr.died and that Sarah remarried to A.Wright who worked for the London Times. From this marriage one more child was born: William Wright b.d.Jan.7 1842. I have an apprenticeship record for Frederick, son of Frederick Ruben that states:"Frederick Randall of The Three Horseshoes in the Parish of St.Peter-St.Albans in the County of Hertfordshire, apprentice to George Notcuff of Bishops Hatfield County of Hertfordshire signed Jan 23 1851. Term for 6 years .Paid 45 pounds of Great Britian monies.Grocer, tea dealer and ironmonger".Signed by George Notcuff (merchant), Frederick Randall(apprentice), William Wright, Sarah Wright(parents). At the time this agreement was signed Frederick would have been 13 years of age. Frederick Jr.married Eliza Cain or Able b.d.Aug.8 1835, from St.Albans Hertfordshire in 1859 just before or after coming to the United States. They originally settled in the Lockport area of New York State. For the Randall story in America go to :Randalls in the U.S.A.
