[Author's note: This episode went way to long so its cut up, Episode 2 is largely finished but I had to get this out first, nothing much about zombies so have patient]

The time was at hand; this was his last chance, his last redemption. He lunged down the street, comparing house numbers to the torn phone book page in his hand. Suddenly a sickening roar sounded in the distance sending dogs howling and yelping. There wasn’t much time left. Here it was the reporter’s house! He scampered up the walkway of the house tripping several times in his excitement and began to pound desperately on the door. No one came and he thought he was done for until a few moments later the porch light came on and a man in a housecoat opened the door.

"May I help you," said the man in the housecoat Groggily rubbing an eye. "I don’t have any money so if you’re selling something…" The man had reached into his pocket of his housecoat and pulled out his glasses as he talked and finally seen who was knocking at his door in the middle of the night. The visitor was a man in a torn and blood stained lab coat. He was clutching a large deep looking wound in his side. It was hard to tell what his age or hair color was because he covered from head to toe in some kind of red substance. It looked like blood, but it couldn’t be there was just too much of it.

"Mr. Kurtz, I don’t have much time, they’re after me, I have some information for you." Explained the injured man bearly able to say the sentence without spitting out blood.

"Wa-wait here while I call the police you need some medical attention," said Mr. Kurtz frightened of the man. Kurtz began to close the door on his visitor.

"No! You can’t," yelled the injured man angrily. His hand shot out and blocked the door from shutting; Kurtz heard a crack when the door impacted with the man’s arm that sounded like it broke. "You don’t understand what you’re dealing with, now let me talk to you." The visitor with all his strength forced the door open. Kurtz started to run for the phone to call the police. The man in the lab coat grabbed Kurtz by the shoulder and spinned him around. He took a pair of handcuffs from his lab coat pocket and locked the reporter to a coat hanger rack in a closet near the front door.

"I’m not going to hurt you, now stay calm for a second." Said the man. The attacker carefully locked all the doors and windows in the house and then approached Kurtz.

"Listen I’m going to let you go if you promise not to try to escape." The Kurtz nodded meekly, as his captor removed the handcuffs and took Kurtz into the bathroom.

"It’s the only room without windows, that’s how they got Thompson, through a window". Explained the man. The man’s comment made Kurtz shine chill.

"My name is Parker first of all. Do you know what Umbrella Inc. is?" asked Kurtz’s attacker.

"Yes I did a investigative report on them last year for a magazine, they are one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world." Answered Kurtz.

"The Largest. I work; well I used to work for them at a branch in Alaska, and this is what I got for five years of loyal service." Said Parker motioning his wounds to Kurtz.

"But why and how? I don’t understand." Said Kurtz puzzled.

"To shut me up of course! They used this to try and silence me." Said Parker. He pulled out a large folder from an oversized pocket in the lab coat and then removed a photo from it. Kurtz examined it. It was a picture of a large tube in which he could vaguely see a form of a man.

"It’s the Tyrant T-000 virus series designed for seek, recovery and destroy assassination missions. When they make them, the Tyrants are already are ready to kill anything or anybody but not just one person. Umbrella immediately uses gene therapy to condition them to kill a specific DNA pattern in other words to seek out one person is all it will think about until it dies. The first one was created at a mountain lab in Raccoon City it was released accidentally and is still at large." Said Parker.

"This is insane! Even if Umbrella was making these things why would it be after you?" said Kurtz.

"Why to shut me up of course! I know too many of their secrets. They found out I was investigating…Well I better start from the beginning, you better have a seat it’s a long story." Said Parker. Kurtz pulled up a seat on the toilet while Parker choose to stand in the middle of the room.

"It all started five years ago. I was fresh out of medical college and an Umbrella employment officer recruited me. I started working for them in a small town; I was assigned to a small science team working on a virus that attacks plant cells. The team leader Thompson had a small margin for error and worked everyone to the bone. The virus called Tiberian attacks a plant’s leaves leaving the plant unable to produce their food by way of photosynthesis. Our goal was to neutralize the virus, after working on the project only for two weeks I thought I had the answer. When everyone went home I mass produced a vaccine and sprayed our plant samples with it later I went home quite happy with my results. The next day I arrived at work to find the plants had been destroyed completely, instead of neutralizing the Tiberian virus I improved it. Thompson was furious that I destroyed his years of work and immediately fired me. I thought my career was finished until later at my home while I was packing several men approached me from the administrative offices of Umbrella. They said they where very impressed by my work and wished to hire me for another project. At the time I did not realize that they meant they where impressed my virus, my weapon not my work but I was too interested in saving my career that was at that moment in shambles. Without even thinking I accepted their proposal not realizing that I had sealed mine, and mankind’s fate forever...
