MAI SHEKET
The Mai Sheket property is about 17 square kilometres in area. In April 2001 the area was
mapped and sampled in a
stream sediment survey
and intensive gold panning was observed along the major stream beds, some of which also have strong
gold geochemical anomalies of proximal source. The geology is a combination of volcanic and siliceous
sedimentary protoliths, metamorphosed to slatey greenschists and intruded by microsyenite sheets and
lenticular stocks. Follow-up soil sampling is planned.
