OPERATIONAL AREA
Our gold exploration projects are all located in Ethiopia. There are four
main gold regions containing gold mineralisation and old gold mines. Nothern Ethiopia has been chosen for its numerous gold occurrences, the great majority of which have not been explored. Furthermore, the country has a mining policy, implemented in law, which accepts foreign operators on an equal footing with Ethiopian nationals. The government has reasonable fiscal policies and it understands the importance of law, order and infrastructure, all of which are necessary for the success of mining projects in the more remote areas. The World Bank has invested large amounts for the improvement of roads and power supplies and these projects are now being implemented in northern Ethiopia and elsewhere.
