JUSTIN SMALLWOOD - Guitar, vocals

Yes, our name is P.reject. It stands for, as you see above, "Project Rejection," and it has a special meaning to all four of us, and to some of us it has more than just one. I thought of the name one day while relaxing with Charles, and I guess everyone else liked it. When I thought of the name, it was about temptation--rejecting it and not letting it knock you off the narrow path to the Kingdom of God.
We are currently looking for a lead singer....so if there are any of you out there who can sing hard/alternative (and the occaisional slow song), let us know via email ( forrest_metzger@hotmail.com ). We may be losing Justin if he decides to go to school this fall (which he's pretty sure about), so right now we're kinda under construction for a while. Davey and Charles and myself will hopefully be together in Kalamazoo starting this fall, but Charles isn't really sure where he's going yet either. Hopefully things will come together soon.
What kind of music do you play, you ask? Well, right now we're covering songs such as "Softer To Me" by Relient K, "Higher" and "Beautiful" by Creed, "Wake" by East West, "Original Superman" by Pillar, "When In Doubt" by Thousand Foot Krutch, etc. We also have some pretty tight songs of our own that are not all finished yet. We pretty muched finished our first song last night (early this morning--Feb. 24th)...it's called "Return," and the lyrics were written by Justin. He brought up the lyrics at our first practice, and they happened to fit really well with some music that I had written a long time ago...and from there we made a chorus and put some finishing touches on it. It's a softer one, but it's pretty darn good. But if Justin goes to school in the fall, then we'll probably lose the song as well.
At any rate, if you have any questions or comments about the band, just give me an email at any one of the many addresses that I've listed on my site. Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for the support and encouragement!
We like pork!
Here's proof that davey and I were destined to be in a band together.
