Okay, what can I tell you about myself that might be interesting? Hmmm...I will start with a picture first so you will have an idea what I look like. If you like to know more about me...please, scroll down and read on!

Okay, lets get on with it. I'll try not to make it too long or too boring! My name is Ann, I was born in Genk, Limburg which is in Belgium on the 15th of May 1975 which makes me a Taurus.
I think of myself as an honest person, people say that I am friendly and kind, I am quite a happy person and I am also quite loving and caring. But believe me, I have my not so pleasant sides too and I can get mad if people push it too far. Besides that I can be very patient, sponatanious, social and of course I have my down sides too...but lets not go into detail on that, hehe!
I like to do all kinds of things: walking, hiking, travelling, photography, swimming, painting, playing my guitar, surf the net, enjoy nature, spend time with my my sweetheart and more. I also like to watch TV, art, movies, spending time with family and friends, music, having fun and more.

I spent my whole life in a little village called Niel-bij-As which is located in the province of Limburg in the beautiful country of Belgium. Genk and Hasselt are nearby cities that some of you might recognize. I still have lots of family and friends over there. I spent my highschool days in Genk, a town about 10km from where I lived. I did some general eductation like book keeping, typing and all that. But that wasn't my kind of thing!
After 3 years of highschool I changed subjects and went for art classes. I really enjoyed that and I have to say that I loved making oil paintings. This is still my hobby and once in a while I will paint a nice scenery painting. Soon I realized that it's hard to make a living from painting or anything else in the art sector so I did some serious thinking...some real serious thinking!!!
And thanks to one of my girlfriends who suggested I should be come a nurse, I actually decided I was going to go for it. And yes, I loved the education and felt that it was what I wante to do in life, helping people to get better. I went to college for 3 years and I became a nurse. I was quite proud when they handed me over my diploma in June of 1999. I started to work in the Salvator Hospital in Hasselt in the beginning of October 1999 on an Orthopedic and Neurology ward. I enjoyed my job a lot and has very nice colleagues. At the same time something happened that turned my life upside down, but in the most positive way.
I met the man of my dreams (Michael) and you may wonder why this turned my life upside down. Well, Michael was from Vancouver, Canada which is a loooong way from Belgium. That's what happens if you meet someone online. We shared many e-mails from the beginning of September 1999, phone calls and visited each other...first meeting was in Belgium in December 1999 (you can read the whole love story on this site!). I loved the place where Michael lived and we could just get along fantastic. I saw myself living with him for the rest of my life in Canada. In April 2000 I made the big move and went to Vancouver, Canada to start my new life with My Canadian Love!
I live in Vancouver, Canada since April 2000 and I am very happy over here with Michael! This is the best thing that ever happened to me and I hope we will be together until the day do us part. We are married in the meantime (on July 14, 2005) and are still so much in love and sooo happy!!
