Dimmu Borgir is one of the best, most respected black metal bands. With obvious Old Man's Child influences they creat a cacouphonous beautifull black metal sound. Dimmu Borgir originated in Norway but has had a few members from other countries. Like most black metal bands, they have been through their share of members. The current line up of Dimmu Borgir is: on lead guitar the guitarist of Old Man's Child Galder, on drums Cradle of Filth's old drummer Nicholas Barker, on vocals Shagrath (founding member), on rythm guitar Erkekjetter Silenoz (founding member), on synth Mustis and finally on bass Simen Hestnęs who sang for Arcturus. Previous members include: Astennu (old lead guitar, my favorite), Nagash (old bass player, now in the kovenant), Tjodalv of Old Man's Child (old drummer), Old Man's Child's bass player Brynjard Tristan (old bass player), and Stian Aartsad (old synth player). The new album "Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia" is set for release 12th March 2001.
