The Siege Tank can be one of the most effective units for both offense and defense. If you upgrade Siege Mode then it becomes deadly. With siege Mode the Tank can shot very far away but it is unable to shoot anything that is really close to it when it's in Siege Mode. I suggest that if you use a siege tank for defense you place them near some missle turrents and bunkers so that you are able to cause havoc on any enemy attack force before they can do anything to you. If you attack with them make sure you have some Goliathes or a lot of Marines to cover the air because Siege Tanks cannot shoot anything in the air. I like devestating enemy Sunken and Spore Colonies or Photon Cannons with Siege Tanks in Siege Mode because you can kill them before they can touch you if done correctly. The Siege Tank is a unit you should use a lot for both offense and defense. Back to Terran Units
