The L85 is a nice littl toy. It dosen't seem to have hop up. I haven't looked in the chamber to confirm this.
It's got a active range of around 50',which is not that great.
Comsetically, its great. Big and hefty. Excellent metal outer barrel. Poor sight. If you're really into this model, You can chop up a Daisy reddot sight and cram it into the scope. The scope shell is quite roomy. You'll be doing some serious choping to get it to fit though. But just think of the potential. You'd be the coolest kid on the block with a working mock SUSAT scope on a HFC L85(Still being test fitted when this weas written).
The scope base is secured with screws. No true rails are present. The decorative rail ends serves as mounting areas for the screws.
There is one serious flaw with the design. The cocking handle is based on a single 2mm threaded rod. Personally, I don't think that's safe at all. After some shooting, I strongly believe it would be the first part to break if abused.
This one has an outter barrel that's been threaded, losing about 3/4th of an inch to alow threaded mock suppressors and alternate muzzle breaks to be mounted.
