Sonic Adventure 4: Scene
21: Day Two
Sonic: So this guy cheats?!
Leo: Yeah. I was looking through data files Harry let me have.
Sonic: And?
Leo: It says he uses items to win.
Sonic: Then why doesn't anyone do anything about it?!
Leo: Harry says there is no proof after he fights, so they leave him alone.
Sonic: That stinks.
Harry: Okay everyone! It's time for the first fight!
Leo: Looks like you're up! Watch out for his tricks!
Sonic: Heh, you bet!
Leo walks up to the stands.
Amy: Hurry up! He's about to call them out!
Leo: You sure are getting into this......
Amy: Well.....
Angel: I don't blame her!
Leo: That's because you're fighting!
Shadow: Shut up. He's talking.
Harry: First fight of the day! Sonic, number ninety-nine, from block four!
The arena cheers for Sonic.
Sonic: Let’s do this Raven! I'll make sure you don't pull your tricks!
Harry: Raven, number seventeen, from block five!
Nobody cheers.
Sonic: Nobody? Huh.
Raven flies out. He is a pitch black raven. His greens eyes are as scary as his
looks.
Sonic: He just creeps me out looking at him.
Raven: I heard that!
He lands in front of Sonic.
Harry: Ready? Fight!
Raven flies up high in the air.
Sonic: No fair!
Raven: Take this!
He dives at Sonic; his claws start to
spark.
Sonic: What?!
His claws scratch Sonic on chest.
Sonic: Ahhh!!!
Raven: How was that?
Sonic: You...... cheated!
Raven: How so?
Sonic: Whatever you did......... I can hardly move!
Raven: That wasn't me! You just can't fight!
Sonic: I'll make you eat dirt for that!
Raven: Ha ha. I don't think so!
He picks up Sonic.
Sonic: Let me go!
Raven: How about a ride?
He drops Sonic.
Sonic: No! No! Pick me up! Pick me up!
He slams into the ground.
Raven: Heh.
Sonic: I'm..... not done yet!
Raven: I know! How about another ride?
Again, he picks up Sonic. This time he
drags Sonic across the ground, hitting every rock along the way.
Sonic: Man this bites!
Sonic (thinking): I still can't move
much! I have to do something about it!
Raven drops Sonic.
Sonic: You still won't win!
Raven: You still want to fight? Fine!
He flies at Sonic again.
Sonic (thinking): He must have used his
claws to shock me, I saw them spark. That must be the reason I can't move much!
Fine, if he can use that, so can I!
Right before Raven picks
him up, Sonic drops to the ground and then grabs Raven’s claws.
Raven (thinking): I'll shock him again!
Sonic can feel the power building. He
then whispers....
Sonic: Chaos Counter!
Instead of Sonic getting shocked, Raven
is shocked.
Raven: Aghhh!!! Caw!!!
Raven falls to the ground. Sonic walks up
to him.
Raven: How are you able to walk?!
Sonic: Why would I want to tell you? How about a ride?!
He grabs his leg and then starts to run
around.
Sonic: Getting enough dirt back there?!
Raven: Ahh! Caw!
Sonic throws him in the air.
Sonic: You're done for!
Raven falls to the ground.
Harry: Fight over! The winner is Sonic!
Everyone cheers.
Raven: I'll get you the next time!
Sonic: There won't be a next time for you!
Raven: What do you mean?!
Sonic: When I leave, some of my friends will be coming to pick you up. They
will then throw you out! And make sure your ugly face is never seen here again!
Raven: No!
Sonic: Your cheating days are over!
He leaves the field. He can hear Raven
cawing at them.
Leo: Heh, I bet he never expected Sonic to use his
powers!
Biff: He did what now?
Leo: Used his powers. We had a little talk, before his match started.
Biff: I see.
Harry: That was some fight! Next fight will be in three hours! Be sure to come
back!
Shadow: I look forward to fighting Bruton.
Leo: Did you say Bruton?
Shadow: Yes. Why?
Leo: This is his file.
They look at the file.
Leo: So he's the rhino I saw.
Shadow: Oh joy. He should be strong.
Leo: It says here he can lift a two ton boulder with ease!
Shadow: I'll have to knock him down then.
They go down to where Sonic is.
???: You better not win any more!
Sonic: Oh yeah? Why are you telling me this?
???: Raven is a friend of mine. I don't like to see him lose.
Sonic: Where are you?
???: You don't need to know that! Just know this, if you win any more
fights, I'll make sure everyone around you suffers!
Sonic: Hey! Hold it right there!
???: Heh, your friends are here. Don't win any
more fights hedgehog!
Leo: Hey Sonic! What's wrong?
Sonic: I'll tell you later. Right now, let’s hit the streets!
Leo: If you say so.
They walk out. A dark red hedgehog bumps
into them.
???: Oh! My mistake!
Leo: That's okay!
They take a closer look.
???: Leo?!
Leo: Zi?! Is that you?!
Zi: It's been a long time buddy!
Sonic: Huh?
Leo: Before Eggman destroyed my village, Zi and I
were the best of friends!
Zi: We still are, right?
Leo: You bet! I can't believe you're here!
Angel: How did you get your name?
Zi: It's really my nickname. Zi is
also short for my real nickname.
Amy: That is?
Zi: Zerowing!
Sonic: What does it mean?
Leo: I gave him that name. His favorite number is zero. He was running around
all the time; then, one day he jumped in the swimming area we had and looked
like he was flying. So I gave him the nickname!
Zi: It's great seeing you buddy! I thought I was the
only able to get out!
Leo: No, Quickfire and I got out. Not before I found out Sonic is my brother!
Zi: No way!
Sonic: Way.
Zi: That's cool! I have to get running! I have
someone to meet; see ya around!
Leo: See ya!
He runs around the corner.
Amy: He seems nice.
Leo: Heh, yeah. He never could stay in one place.
Shadow: Enough standing still!
Angel: Yeah, let’s get something to eat!
They eat and then go back to the arena.
Shadow: Time to fight. See ya.
He walks in the ready room.
Leo: Let’s go get some seats!
They get to their seats.
Silvix: About time.
Leo: Silvix!
Silvix: Be careful about Zi.
Leo: What? Why?
Silvix: He holds bad company.
Leo: What do you know?
Silvix: I just know this: keep away from him. He may not want to harm you, but
the ones around him will.
He walks down the steps.
Leo: I doubt Zi is with people like that.
Sonic: Still, we should do as Silvix says.
Leo: I don't think so! It has been a long time since I've seen Zi! I'm not going to ignore him because of something Silvix
said!
Sonic: Okay, fine.
Harry: Welcome back everyone! Fight two is about to start! Shadow, number five,
from block one!
Shadow walks onto the field. Nobody
cheers.
Shadow: That's fine. They haven't seen what I can do yet.
Harry: Next is Bruton, from block five, number seven!
He walks out: a large rhino, about seven
feet tall.
Shadow: You're very large. I hope you're ready to lose, grey giant.
Bruton: Hmph! I'm not going to lose to a small fry!
Harry: Ready? Fight!
Shadow explodes with speed.
Leo: Whoa!
He runs towards Bruton.
Bruton: Giga slam!
He slams his fists on the ground. He hit
so hard, that a shockwave heads towards Shadow.
Shadow: Strong.
He dashes to the side, avoiding the
shockwave.
Bruton: What?!
Shadow: Too slow.
He runs circles around Bruton, punching
and kicking at him.
Angel: He's such a great fighter!
Sonic: Great, I'm great!
Angel: But it looks like he's been doing this for a long time!
Sonic: He did say he learned a few things.......
Shadow: You're not as strong as I thought you were. Now you know what power is.
He jumps up and then punches Bruton in
the face. He falls to the ground.
Harry: Shadow wins!!!
Shadow: No problem.
While he walks away, everyone in the
stands cheers for Shadow.
Shadow: I thought so.
Leo: Wow! He sure is some fighter!
Angel: I'll say!
Sonic: I sure am glad he never did that to me!
They stay and watch the last fight.
Harry: The winner is
Leo: He's just as fast as Shadow!
Sonic: Holy cow!
Shadow: Not bad.
Harry: That's it for today! I'll now list the next three fights! Angel, number
one hundred, from block three! Zi, number zero, from
block four!
Leo: Zi?!
Harry: Second fight will be Biff, number one, from block one! Vega, number
thirty four, from block one! Last fight will be...... Blaze, number
Leo: Let’s go guys.
They leave the arena.
Leo: I didn't know Zi was fighting! I bet he does good!
Sonic: Is he good?
Leo: You kidding?! He was the best fighter of our village!
Angel: Then he won't be easy!
Leo: That's right!
They walk in the hotel.
Zi: Sir! I'll win!
???: You better! Or else!
Zi: Don't worry sir! I'll defeat Angel!
???: Make sure you do! Or I'll make sure you never get out of this city
alive!
Zi: ......yes sir.
