This was my first job flown on BushNet! Throughout it the weather kept changing, I guess because of everyone wanting different conditions, so I was constantly changing my cruising altitude. I decided to take my trusty Beaver out for this one. Anyways, I met the passengers at 12:15 in front of the terminal, and in 10 minutes, we were loaded up and ready to go. I taxied over to runway 29, let everyone know of my intentions, and took off.
I settled into cruise at 1100 feet, so as to give the passengers a nice scenic flight.
I followed the water up to the Sumner Strait NDB. Here is a shot of me on the way.
Another shot, this time just past the Sumner Strait NDB.
After reaching the NDB, there wasn't much time left to Petersburg, so I didn't bother to set the ADF to the Petersburg frequency. I went up between Kupreanof Island and Mitkof Island, and came up on Petersburg faster than I had wanted to. I went around, letting everyone know about every step along the way, and this time made a good approach. Here I am, on final at runway 4.
Here I am on touchdown...
...now the back wheel comes down...
...and I pull into parking. Here's a bird's-eye view of me on the taxiway.
I turned to the right and pulled up in front of the building, where I shut it down and let everybody off. All in all, a good flight, with no one asking me to go off course to do something for BushNet ;-)
