Government Employee to Ketchikan

I took the Beaver out on this one. It is the older one, since it's better on my frames and I have my favorite repaint on it. I started in Stewart at 13:28, in the parking area.

The government employee hopped into the plane, after loading up his minimal amount of gear. After a couple of minutes, we were ready to go. I took off from Runway 17 at 13:32.

As we climbed, I decided to take the short way to PAKT, direct to it over the Misty Fjords National Monument. To keep my record clean with the FAA, I leveled off above 7000 feet.

Here's another shot of me in the uneventful cruise.

As I closed in on PAKT, I began my descent. I had my altimeter off by several hundred feet, but I didn't notice or care about it since I was out of the NM. I set my ADF so I could make a straight in approach to PAKT. Here I am, with PAKT in sight.

Because of what I had done earlier, I got to hold a 5 mile final to Runway 29 at PAKT.

After a couple of minutes on final, I touched down smoothly near the center of the runway.

I turned around and went for the taxiway. I taxied over to the building next to the fuel pump, and let him out. He thanked me for the flight, and I bid him farewell.

Soon I'm going to head out and go back home to the TCS Base. Total flight time was 0.9 hours.
