What is the implant?

An implant is an artificial replacement of the tooth root, which is fixed in the jaw and creates, together with the abutment, a base for the attachment of a new tooth. Accordingly, the implant is anchored like a normal healthy tooth. This is the only way an implant can become strong and fully functional like original teeth.

Specially-trained dentists replace lost teeth with implants in lieu of traditional bridges and prosthetic teeth. Implants from different producers are available on the market. IMPLADENT® is a high-quality system, fully comparable with leading world products. Our physicians have good long-term experience with it.

First, a physician inserts an implant in the shape of a little screw into your jaw. As soon as the implant is healed during the next 2 to 6 months, the second part called an abutment, which is cylinder-shaped, is mounted to this “screw”, which rises from the gum. The artificial tooth is easily fixed to this projection. The tooth looks nice and offers a strong bite.
