Leo the Lion. Leo is a Fire sign with Fixed qualities. It rules the 5th house and its ruling planet is the Sun. Like all the fire signs, Leo is dynamic and passionate. Its Fixed quality can makes it reliable but also very stubborn.

The fiery Leo is enthusiastic and generous. One would think that this magnanimous personality would crave new experiences, however, Leo is a Fixed signs and can be uncomfortable with change. Leo is the king of the jungle, and would like it to remain that way. Leo is broadminded and will allow its subjects many foibles, however, when they say 'no!' they mean NO! This is one of the most dominant signs of the Zodiac, being naturally authoritative, pompous and on occasion patronising. Yet despite this Leo is ruler of the fifth house and as such is creative, loves to have fun and gets on well with children.

The egotistical Leo has an excellent sense of drama, it loves to be the centre of attention, therefore is often associated with the performing. On stage or in life! The lion is often accused of being lazy, but that is untrue, like all the fixed signs it will work hard to finish projects.... if it has to be interested in them in the first place.
