Selpayak is the spelling of John's immigrated name. In the records located in Saint Mary's Church in Winber, Pennsylvania. The information was founded by my Aunt Deloris Buri. And of course the copy of the marriage certificate above. My Aunt also mention to me that John Selpayak, Sr could not speak English to well and might have repeated the name Selpayak to the boarder. Also mentioned they might of immigrated together on the same boat. How ever there is no other John in 1889 nor 1900 immigrated to New York.

My real father
John Joseph Selepack born in Pennsylvania and join the Air Force around 1958 was transferred to Fairbanks, Alaska. He learned to play the piano from his father and used to play in a bar in Fairbanks on his free time from the Air Force. He would play mostly 1950s (Elvis).
He met my mother one night when he played the piano and my mother kept watching him play. Well that made my mom melt and she fell in love with John. They started dating and around September 1959 they were married.
He did not know of my two siblings Benjamin and Eleanor (Cindy) at the time of marriage. My mother also brushed my father off when she found out that he was younger then her. For 4-6 weeks she ignored him and finally he convinced her that he is truly in love with her.
End of 1959, the Air Force transferred my parents to Tennessee while my mother was pregnant with me.
This made my father excited and hoping he would have a girl.
I was born to them in Jan 1960, at first I scared my father because I was so tiny.
My parents went and visit my grandparents in Pennsylvania to show them me.
my grandfather Joseph just took me in his arms and holds me.
But my grandmother hesitated because I was an indigenous (Eskimo child) she never hold me.
That made my mom feels sad and wanted to leave right away back to Tennessee.
As a toddler John called me "plunkie" and had given me a Doberman-pincher puppy. I have a 35mm of me and the puppy. In the film I got into John's cigarettes.
But things didn't work out between them; my mother divorced my father by March 1964 (before the Alaska earthquake) when I was 4 years old.
As I got older I found out that I have a birth father John Selepack and I have learned that he also called my 1/2 sister Carol Stafford born 1965 "plunk"; per Linda Pope his 2nd wife.
