| Anyone who attended the first Stimulation Party knows it was a memorable evening. It was the celebration of the opening of One World Poetiks. Thrown in an AOL chatroom, it was a night full of wonderful people, amazing poetry, and a friendly vibe through out the night. What was originally supposed to take place for an hour and a half, went on until about 1 am, which was about 4 hours of poetry, laughs, constructive commentary, and overall it was just a warm place to be, which anyone who regularly visits the poetry chats knows is rare. Originally the event was supposed to be a one time occasion, thrown only to introduce OWP and promote it, but due to the success and the warm feedback from the folks who attended, we decided to open it on a semi-regular basis. We feel it needs to be special, and inviting. It needs to oppose the chatroom norm, and entice the authors, so we decided to open the room only on special occasions, and keep it fresh by introducing new and innovative ideas and themes. After two weeks OWP was graced with over 250 visitors, and the creativity and ideas were being left behind, as if imprints in sand. After a month and a half of intelligent minds leaving their imprints within our soils, a step has been taken, a very large step; The step that decides whether ones endeavor will be successful, or will simply fade into the fog. I am proud to announce that The Second Stimulation Party will be thrown in celebration of this achieved step. Within the next three weeks, the details will be made and the date will be set. On this special occasion, I would like to hear what the authors are interested in, what is it to you that will make this evening special and always memorable? I'm allowing the details to be planned by the crowd who in return for your support and creative deposits, only deserve something special in return. Please, if you have a thought or idea email me and we will try to create a night that will top the opening party, and blow the other poetry rooms away. The key ingredient to a special evening is choosing the crowd. I was extremely selective in my choosing of the mailing list, and who is invited to these events. Anyone who knows the chatroom norm knows to avoid a certain clique if you will, and although I welcome your friends, please be selective as to who you invite, and ask them to do the same.
