HISTORY:
Zaanai was once a gargoyle living peacefully on Earth with her kin. On one of Shockwave’s routine trips to Earth in search of his leader Megatron, instead of finding the great space cruiser Nemesis, he found a group of small creatures; Zaanai’s clan. Shockwave studied the creatures all night. They had the ability to fly without any thrusters and they could climb the walls of their dwelling with their bare hands. When dawn came, all the creatures turned to stone. Shockwave was intrigued. Labeling his original mission a failure, he formed a new plan to capture and study this species in hopes of creating a new weapon to use against the Autobots. As carefully as possible, he grabbed the one with the biggest wings and locked it up in a cargo box on his ship. With that done, he took off back to Cybertron.
After a week and a half of travel, designing a body and creating a machine to transfer the creature’s essence into it’s new home, it was almost dead. Time was critical to Shockwaves plan. He hooked her up to the machine then at the computer console, Shockwave turned on the program. In a great shower of light, the essence was transferred into the robot shell.
The new warrior still laid inert, awaiting programming and thus life. A horrible twist of fate interrupted Shockwave from giving his new creation life. An Autobot attack. Duty called and he answered leaving his construct alone, guarded only by his lab’s security.
Teryx, a Decepticon who no longer wished to fight for the cause, knew about Shockwaves plan plus the passwords to the lab where the new Transformer was hidden. Hacking his way through the security systems, Teryx made his way through the lab to the lifeless body. He scooped her up and quickly made his way out, careful to reactivate every system he disengaged.
Amidst the confusion of the Autobot attack, no one cared about the small shuttle that carried Teryx and his charge away from Cybertron. He took her to a small moon where some of his more technologically advanced allies were stationed. There the shell was given life.
The first few days were rough for the new Transformer, but soon enough Zaanai conformed to her new fate. Pleased with her transition, Teryx and Zaanai left the small moon to one of his hideouts where he taught her almost everything he thought she needed to know for her survival.
Five years of keeping Zaanai under his protective wing and helping her master being a part of his race, it was finally time to let her experience her life without his fatherly presence. Teryx had acquired a medium sized shuttle, which Zaanai was going to travel in to Moon Base Two to help the Autobot resistance.
Teryx had programmed the autopilot before she left so all Zaanai had to do was sit down and watch the stars go by, but neither of them expected a Decepticon battle cruiser to appear and open fire upon her. Most of the explosions were situated in the engine area of the shuttle, systems were failing and the ship was falling apart. Teryx made sure she knew the shuttle inside and out before she left and strongly urged her not to use the warp drive, yet that was her only chance of survival. She jumped to warp but that just made the situation worse. Fluctuations in the warp drive caused a temporal imbalance, which sent her into the past.
On the other side of the anomaly, Zaanai’s shuttle was barely holding together. She traveled the twisted metal to where the stasis pods were held, hopped into the one with the least amount of damage and set a course for the nearest inhabitable planet.
The traveling was rocky due to the pod being slightly damaged. The path became worse as the pod breached the atmosphere. Systems were malfunctioning and the exo-structure was breaking apart. As Zaanai tried to manually correct her course, the pod shorted out and knocked her unconscious. The pod crashed in a lush forest.
Inferno was patrolling the area where the pod fell. After realizing it was not one of Optimus Primal’s pods, he carried it back to base for Megatron. Within the Darkside, Megatron put Zaanai into a DNA sequencer. She emerged a few minutes later in her new panther beast mode.
PROFILE:
Zaanai remembers nothing of her past or her mission. All she knows is that she is a Predacon and nothing else matters besides the destruction of the Maximals. She is hotheaded and not very personable unless she wants something. She is usually found alone unless instructed otherwise. Megatron is her leader, which she accepts as long as it suits her mood.
ABILITIES:
She has a strong need for physical force and uses Metallikato the most. She packs twin ion cannons but will only use these under extreme circumstances. She also has twin Quasar rifles and uses these more often. In robot mode, she can glide at speeds of up to 80k/hr. In beast mode, she's not very fast, but her agility makes up for it.
WEAKNESSES:
Her anger sometimes distracts her from her goals. Most of her decisions are rash and not thought through. She picks fights with every one that crosses her, Maximals and Predacons alike.
