Bible Question
Is Islam's Rapid Global Spread Predicted By The Bible?
Answers To That Question
Not directly. Islam is the world's fastest growing religion today, and in the United States, there are now six million Islamics.
We have more Islamics than members of the dead, dried up, old line denominations--Presbyterian USA, Methodist, and Anglican--in the United States.
Islam is the fastest growing world religion because of the evangelistic ethusiasm of its members and the moral rectitude and certitude it confers upon its members.
Islam has strong rights and wrongs. It tolerates no nonsense. The declining Christian denominations mentioned above are doctrinally confused and vague, attempting at all costs to appease members but displease Christ.
That's why these denominations are declining. People seek definite spiritual answers, not wishy washy waffling from wimpy liberal clergy.
Since Islam treats Christ as another great teacher and prophet of God, but not the Son of God, Islam is a false religion.
Some recent converts to Islam were quoted as saying--pridefully, of course--that they like taking partial responsibility to "earning" their salvation.
Salvation cannot be earned. It is a gift of God. That's what the Bible teaches.
The roots of Islam are found in the Bible. Hagar, a servant who produced a son, Ishmael, with Abraham, was ejected by Sarah after she (Sarah) had become pregnant with Isaac.
An angel of God (Genesis 21: 17-21) reassures Hagar, saying in part..."I will make him (Ishamel) a great nation." God was right--Ishmael is the father of the Arab peoples.
But the establishment of Islam by the prophet Mohammed is not specifically predicted by the Bible, nor does the Bible predict the fast global spread of Islam.
However, the Bible predicts in the last days all sorts of apostasy, false religions, false claims that various people "are the Christ," the "waxing cold" of peoples hearts, etc.
Clearly, the growth of Islam fits right into these end time prophecies.
