This zord was the air support for the Dino Zords piloted by the Pink Ranger. This zord is stored in a volcano. The Pterodactyl formed the chestplate of the Dino MegaZord. It also held the Power Sword, which when called for is teleported about one kilometer into the sky them hurled down to Earth. Along with the ability to fly, the Pterodactyl could withstand intense heat (hint hint, it was housed within a volcano). The zord could fire lightning as an offensive attack. After a big fight the zords must rest for at least twelve hours, so they can repair themselves. With the arrival of Lord Zedd on the moon, Zordon was forced to upgrade the Pterodactyl Dino Zord to the more powerful Firebird Thunder Zord. However, this Zord eventually was destroyed by Rito Revolto.
