The Tyrannosaurus was the command Zord among the Zords. This Zord is used by the Red Ranger. This zord could engage in hand-to-hand combat, fly short distances with jet assisted leaps, attack with its massive tail, and create shockwaves along the ground by firing a discharge at the ground from its mouth. The zord formed the chest of the Megazord. Powered from the Morphing Grid through the Red Ranger's Power Coin, the Tyrannosaurus Zord harnessed the spirit of an ancient prehistoric Tyrannosaurus from Earth. After a big fight the zord must rest for twelve hours to repair itself. The Tyrannosaurus Dino Zord was later upgraded to the Red Dragon Thunder Zord by Zordon which was later destroyed by Rito Revolto.
