Personally I was never big on Squatt or Baboo, they never really did anything except provide some amusement once in a while. Baboo was an alchemist and he was the one that created Rita's potions. It was Baboo that gave Billy and Kimberly the punk potion, one of my favorite episodes. He also pushed Kim out of the way just before she was about to kill the Terror Toad.
Squatt seems to do more errands for Rita then anything else. She sent him down to plant Ocoplant seeds, and he also took Kelly to a cave for her. I think the most important thing Squatt did was program one of Billy's machines to switch his and Kim's brians, another favorite episode.
