Prisoner of Society
Well we don't need no one to tell us what to do oh yes we're on our own and theres nothing you can do so we don't need no one like you
to tell us what to do
We don't refer to the past when showing what we've done our generation gap means the war is never won
the past is in your head, the futures in our hands.
Cos I'm a brat, and I know everything and I talk back.
Cos I'm not listening to anything you say.
And if you count to three, one, two, three.
You'll see it's no emergency, You'll see I'm not the enemy,
just a prisoner of society.
Growing Up (Falling Down)
I'm lying on my head, no I'm not in my bed, just checkin' out the world from a different angle.
That's what happens when you trip on your blindness.
Always seems for some reason that it is happening to me.
Why is it so, and why don't I know?
Why is it so, I can't see the obstacle, in front of me.
Christ, I'm falling down again, it happens to me now and then.
I'm growing up yeah, growing up yeah. I won't let it fade away.
I promise to be strong and brave. I'm growing up yeah, growing up yeah.
Open up your eyes and maybe then you'll realise, he truth is in the thoughts you hold and
and not the obstacle in front of you.
Second Solution
Standin' on a streetlight tryin' to get away, Guilty, Guilty, I hear what you say
Countin' down the hours but I haven't got the time.
The 23rd precinct jumping on the line, on the line...
And what I wanna know
is will I get death row.
Or is there second solution?
And what I wanna say, is will i die today.
Or will I get... Second Solution?
It was never meant to end this way, one shot violence I here what you say.
Standin' on the streetlight tryin' to get away, Guilty, Guilty, I hear what I say, what I say...
West End Riot
There's a kid who was born and was raised in the west.
There's a kid from the east who never really fit in with the rest.
Every week they would meet in the street with their friends.
With the guns that they made and the caps that they stole they would fight to their death.
This time we'll have victory.
Last time ended in defeat.
Our town becomes a battleground.
West End Riot.
We'll be here next Saturday.
With our guns and our heads held high.
So listen up boys, you'd better not cry this time.
See a bum on the street that you think you recognise.
Young kid never looked so bad, when he was only 4ft high.
Six O'clock runnin' home I don't wanna be late.
Another Saturday of sun and war, shared with our mates.
Boys will be boys playing up and making lots of noise.
Never used to talk about the future.
Never thought that we'd have to care.
so WEST END RIOT.
There's a man who was born in the west workin' at a factory.
There's a man from the east who now runs the whole company.
How they've grown on their own not like the kids they used to be.
Saturdays of sun and war are just fond memories.
Bloody Mary
Well there's no time to stop her now, Mary's gonna get her way somehow.
Still just a game but I ask her and remind.
Still just a game but I ask her and remind that Mary...
23 seconds on the floor.
Is all she needs and not a minute more.
Still just a game but I ask her and remind.
Still just a game but I ask her and remind that Mary...
You'll die tonight!
Monday
Monday, a day like no other.
Monday, was their last day.
Some say, life is a struggle.
Some say, life should be easy.
One day, in a peaceful village school day, in a working Dunblane.
One man, could change their whole world, one man, is all it took for...
No school today, it's just a memory, ONE MIND GONE WRONG???
I don't wanna play, on Monday.
Pinned to my memory, not just another Monday, it seems like such a lie.
Change of plans on a rainy day, a new lesson to be learnt today.
Pack up your soldiers too because one sick mind depends on YOU...
Playin' quietly, along came destiny, I don't wanna play...
All Torn Down
I see the city and it isn't what it used to be.
A million houses goin' up and down in front of me.
No time to let the concrete set before it's broken up again.
Don't care if it's historic - Don't really care at all.
A hidden landscape on the brink of a develpment.
A protest rally never satisfied with development.
Both striving for a perfect world.
Each having their own opinion.
And so the city grows, it grows on and on.
All Torn Down.
I see the city and it grown into a big machine.
The streets are freeways and the parks are just a memory.
No time to let the concrete set, before it's broken up again.
Don't care if it's historic - Don't really care at all.
All Torn Down.
You've got no reason.
Save the Day
So here I come to save the day, a regular joe now on parade.
They say, It's the only way, but they, they only want it when it's there.
So here I come to save the day, the future's here and the past is yesterday.
They say, It's the only way, they say, they only want it when it's there.
We're not going on a holiday, we do alot of work and we don't get paid.
Stand up, don't walk away, take your pride and swallow.
Life's full of much unwanted waste, crime pays and the junkies walk away.
But for a husband and the good son, they speak ill at ease, but they dare not run.
They dare NOT RUN.
Trapped
Here it comes again, don't let it pass you by, like the city bound train.
You know it's up to us, to lead the way and march toward victory.
Standin' on the right side, who knows what's right?
Don't look now, seems like we're Trapped somehow.
I'm not sure if we'll ever make it out of here alive.
Don't look now, seems like we're Trapped somehow, time is almost up,
but the war has just begun.
We're stuck inside a place, and soon we'll have to face the outside world...
The anger on the street beings to raise some heat, and we're almost out of time.
Have They Forgotten
One soul.
One life.
One soul one life one meaning.
As far as we know.
So why the hell should we be grieving?
I don't know a house without hope....
They say there's nothing we can do.
Just stand back, but while the government comforts you.
And says lets be patient.
One more cell becomes vacant.
Have they forgotten what its all about?
Sometimes I wonder can't work it out.
An equation with no answer.
HAve they forgotten what it's all about?
Too many times we don't react.
Too many things oh thats just crap.
And if you cannot see,
The effect it has on me.....Your Blind.
Fly Away
I;ve told myself, so many times.
Not to turn into the type, but I've found,
Is it too late, has my time come?
Sometimes I think I'm lsing it.
Am I the only one?
Understandin', more like demanding, Where do the grey skies end?
Should I stay or fly away?
The wings that I begin to grow will surely let me know,
How far I have to go. And I'll be there.
Oh yet again, thought I was right.
But as usual, I end up on the wrong side of the fence.
Is it too late, has my time come?
Sometimes I think I'm losin' it.
Am I the only one?
I Want a Day
10:50, three minutes till, till 11:00.
I don't want the alarm again!
9:30, three minutes till, on the way to work, not smiling!
I know time to go punch my card in.
Today just another day at 11:00 got to help so much.
Tidy up too much too soon!!!
I want a day when I don't have to get up, sometimes I'm sick of being in a rut.
Want a day where I don't have to go to work, this low-life job makes me feel like a jerk.
So dirty, burned fingers to the bone.
NOT FAIR to be left to the job all alone.
No help, no credit for making sure this evil machine doesn't stop.
Am I going to spend every day of my life living this way?
NO WAY!!!
Strange
Well I never thought that I was strange.
I always had something to do and think about.
They say that some things never change.
Well I guess they do 'cause I never thought I was strange.
So I may be off the wall.
Just a little bit.
I may seem to be unfriendly, But that's not it...
Strange looks from everybody around.
I don't care ' cause I'm not fooling around.
Don't know what makes me different and I don't care.
Maybe It's not my problem but why do they stare?
Sometimes I stop and think for a while...
Closing In
