In Memory of Jonathan Benjafield
In Memory of Jonathan Benjafield
Jonathan Benjafield was a close friend from University.
He had a smile that could light up the darkest room and personality to match.
He was one of my first friends at Guelph, and he acted as a brother to my friends and I.
Jonathan passed away on November 8th, 1996 of an acute infection of the heart.
He was only 18 years old at the time of his death, a mere month away from his 19th birthday.
We will always remember Jon, and I feel lucky that I had the opportunity to have him as a close friend/housemate.

Rest In Peace
Here are a few words I have written about Jon...
Sadness
Sadness fills my body,
Flows through my viens,
Heartache and pain,
Overwhelm my soul,
As I think of all the times,
We didn't share,
You invade my dreams,
As I awake from the grief,
It's not your time,
Don't leave me behind,
Come back, come back,
I scream to you,
Turn around,
See my tears,
As I watch you slip away,
The memories are all I have now,
As they scatter across the night,
Etched in my mind,
Trapped in my heart,
I cry into oblivion,
You always took my breath away,
But who took yours?
