Facts about Coca-Cola

Here you will find a brief summary of the Coca-Cola company, I hope you find it usefull.

THE BEGINNING OF COCA-COLA
Coca-Cola was invented in 1886 by a pharmacist called John Styth Pemberton which makes it over a century old. John owned a drug store in Atlanta, where he sold cough mixtures and other medicines. In 1885 Pemberton mixed up a French Wine Cola and sold his new product as a cure for headaches. On Saturday 8 May 1886 John took his new product to another drugstore to do a test. This particular pharmacy had their own soda fountain which adds carbon dioxide to water to give it a fizz, and then mixes it with a syrup to make a fizzy refreshing drink. Everybody who tried this so called "headache cure" said it was excellent. At this stage it still did not have a name. Then one of Johns partners came up with the name Coca-Cola Syrup and Extract, Coca-Cola for short. After this Coca-Cola went on sale immediately for five cents a glass.
