ALEXANDER JAMES MCLEAN
AJ McLean lives in West Palm Beach, Florida, and is the second youngest member of the Backstreet Boys. He's what you call the 'funk' of the group. He is very stylish in his own kind of way with constant change of sunglass' (a trademark). His hair varies from chestnut brown to dyed blond. This 20-year-old used to tour with the band along with his mom, Denise, who is a manager (because Nick needed a guardian on the tour). AJ's parents divorced when he was very young. In fact, he has had many misoccurances as a child. He lost a friend of his at an age of 13. His friend got killed in a car accident. Before the Backstreet Boys became the biggest boy pop group ever, A.J knew Howie and Nick through auditions that they went to. A.J was using a vocal coach that Howie used when he was younger. They then joined a trio and added Kevin and Brian later on. AJ collects sunglasses but now, he's into collecting mirrors. A.J. never had time to get his driver's license because of he didn't have time with all the touring. He finally got his driver's license and drives a black BMW! (lucky guy)
