It all started like, a week before we left for Seattle. Me and my friend
Whitney we're going to go to Seattle early so we could go searching for them
all day before the concert. It sounded like fun. So I took a train from
Portland to Seattle. When I arrived we went to our Hotel and met Whitney
and her mom. Before we actually saw them Whitney had told me to watch
channel 7 because Planet Hollywood was going to be on the news. (It was
about 9:30 PM) She told me that she wanted to go to Planet Hollywood today
but her mom had to watch the twins swimming lessons and so they missed em
and she had been recently crying. So I was kinda bummed that we didn't
arrive in time for it but San Fran made it up. Anyway, we watched em and it
was pretty good. Then they came over and we chatted. It was so thrilling
to be outta town w/ your friend and was going to see Hanson! So then they
went up to there room and went to bed. The next morning we got ready and we
went into downtown Seattle. We went to FAO Schwartz hoping for Avery,
Jessica and Mackie to be shopping. Nope. So then we went to a couple
really fancy hotels and they weren't at those. Then we arrived at the
Sharaton (I LOVE THAT HOTEL!) because we noticed a remarkably long and
really fancy black limo. So, my Mom, the ex-FBI agent (who knows how to
find confidential info) went up to a a person who worked there and asked
who's limo it was. He said it was the owners and that we could go inside.
(IT WAS REALLY COOL and Whitney was afraid to go in it, but not me!) And
then my Mom, in a very casual voice said, "Oh, well we thought it might be
Hanson's." and he said, "oh nope" and she said "Do you by any chance know
where they're staying??" and he said, "well that's confidential
information, ma'am." Mom:"Oh really?" and then he blurted out, "They're
staying at the Warwick, like 8 blocks down from here." He sounds really
strange, but I love him! (hehe) We were like "THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!" so
we walked down to the Warwick. When we arrived we wanted to get inside the
hotel, and there were about 4 security guards. (hint hint) so my Mom asked
for the gift shop. So we went in the gift shop and this bald, bad-teeth
disgusting guy watched us like a hawk. And then I had to go the bathroom,
and there was a sign that said, "Bathroom 2nd floor" right by the stairs.
So me and Whitney started up the stairs, and the sick guy followed us. We
were just about up there and he said "where do you think you're going?" and
I said "I have to go the bathroom!" and he said "well are you guests?" and I
said "No we just wanna go the bathroom!" and he said "well the bathrooms are
for guests ONLY!" and so we were like "sorry" (YEAH RIGHT!!!) and so then I
had to go bathroom really bad! But it passed as time went on! (THAT SOUNDS
REALLY SICK!) So then we bought water and went outside. I was sitting on a
little ledge by the flowers and the same dang guy came and said "Get up and
don't sit on my flowers" and I said "Sorry but I'm not sitting on them. I'm
sitting right here" and he said "i don't care get up"! So I did. And my
Mom said he was trying to make us feel as uncomfortable as we can so we'll
leave. Then we saw these 4 REALLY big guys around by where we were and they
had these things that said "REM". And they came up and asked us if we were
here to see Hanson. We said yes. They said Not to tell anyone that they
are staying here. We didn't because then the more fans the lessser the
chance. So then were pretty nice I guess. They were weird. So then as
we're waiting at like 10:00 AM a blue van drives up and a lady w/ blond hair
is driving. I was like, hey, I wonder if that's Diana. So then I told
Whitney and she started getting all hyped up and she was like, "My camera,
my camera!" and I was quietly peeking around a wall and while I saw the door
open, from the passenger seat came a 17 yr. old boy babysitter and he was
carrying something, and then the sliding door opened and I saw a cute little
girl holding a baby, and I was thinking "YES! The family!" And so I quietly
watched, didn't make a sound, and Avery gave Zoe to Diana, and the teenage
babysitter was in front, he saw me studying them carefully and quietly, he
smiled at me and nodded. I smiled back. I knew that's what he wanted every
fan to do. I felt really good. But anyway, i could tell the Avery LOVES
Zoe so much. Cuz when Diana was holding her, she was jumping up and down
trying to play with her. It was so adorable. By then Whitney didn't care
about the camera and watched with me. It was my first glimpse
Hanson-related that whole day.
So then later on,like an hour laterr, 2 very crazy girls came up and started
talking to the four guys. Then they came to us and was like "Are you here
to See Hanson?" and ya know how we weren't supposed to tell anyone, I
quickly blurted out, "Yeah! We just saw the family!" Whitney gave me a
look like "Taylor, you're so dumb."(She was kidding though!) They turned out
to be really nice (they are Julie and Nicole). So about another hour later
out came the babysitter and Avery. As they were about to walk by, I said
"Are you Avery?" and she wanted to answer, but they had been told not to
talk to the fans. She bit her lip and half nodded. And then I looked at
the babysitter and he smiled. (*hint hint*) So, she was wearing all
yellow---and she is SOOOOOO gorgeous! I would LOVE to look like her!
She'll probaly be a model. Her hair is is golden, wavy (like Ike's) and is
EXETREMLY shiny. She resembles Zac alot. So then they were left and she
looked a little nervous. When they were coming back, my mom and Whitney's
Mom were up at the end of the block drinking at a resturant because they
were tired of waiting. So when they were coming back and just reached the
block, Avery was on his shoulders. Whitney wanted to take a pic, she did
(but it didn't turn out) and so after she took it, he put her down. My Mom
said that when they walked by them, the babysitter said "It'll be ok, just
hold my hand." Because Avery was getting very nervous about walking by us
again. Isn't that sad? Julie and Nicole were going to give her a flower
because when she left they went and bought flowers, and just about when they
were going to walk by, a lady came by and said "You just missed em." and we
were like, the other entrance! So me and Whitney ran the fastest we've ever
ran in our life and went to the other entrance, and sure enough, the big
blue bus! But we didn't miss all of them, only Zac. He was already in the
bus. As we were scanning the bus for Zac, we noticed motion in a non-tinted
window. None other than Mackenzie! HE WAS SOO CUTE! I think he was with
Ashley Greyson, hanson's guy friend. Ashley was tickling him and he was
laughing hysterically. When he noticed us, he tried talking to us, and we
were waving and smiling and he was waving back! I don't know what he was
trying to tell us, but it was really cute! Julie blew him a kiss, he
grinned really big and then put his hand over his mouth and fell back into
Ashley's arms. Then Ashley tickled him some more. SOO ADORABLE!!
Then a whole bunch of people started walking out, and Ike was in the crowd.
A girl who I didn't know (who barely had any clothes on) asked him a
question about the tour video and if they were filming it at the concert.
He went out of his way to answer her question (which was extremely nice of
him) and he stood talking to the girl right next to me. Whitney got a very
good pic of him talking, with Julie and Nicoles flowers in his hand! So as
he was talking (and every fan [only like 6] there was brain dead,
literally!) As he was talking, I saw someone sneak in between the fans and
the bus, I was like, whoever that is, this had better be good, Ike's talkin
to us! So I looked, and it was Taylor! He tried to sneak by because I know
he didn't want to be caught up in the fans. I didn't yell his name or
anything I just let him go because I know he just wanted some privacy. But
Nicole saw him and yelled "Taylor!" just before he was going to get on the
bus and he came back, waved, and said "hi!" to her. That was nice.
Although unfortunatley i was watching Ike and didn't see it. She told that
story to us like 5 times and everyone she didn't know also probaly heard it
5 times! And then Ike and Tay went on the bus and went to the Arena!
*****CONCERT*******
At the concert, (it was great!) ya know they filmed the tour video, the
camera came up to me like 5 or 6 times. At about the 7th time, everyone was
chanting Hanson. I started clapping and chanting too, ignoring the camera
because I had already been on it a couple times. I noticed that since I was
ignoring the camera, they stayed on me longer, then rather than when I was
looking. So I was like, YEAH! So I kept ignoring it and it stayed pretty
long focused on me. I hope they show it in the tour video!!!!!!
And during the concert, we had a REALLY big sign, and if we held it up
longer than 10 secs, the people behind us would slap our butts and rip it
down. So whenever one of them looked, we quickly threw it up. When Tay
looked, we threw it up, and he smiled and started blushing! Cute, huh?
And we also saw Andie MacDowell from the movie "Michael" and stuff! She had
brought her daughter to see them. We had better seats then she did!!! haha!
******AFTER THE CONCERT*****
When they started singing acapella, we ran out of the arena, (because both
me and Whitney had already been to a Hanson concert and heard it) so we
raced to find our guy who would drive up back to the Warwick. He was 2
blocks away because of the terrible traffic! So he took us to the Warwick
and we got there and Julie and Nicole were there. We waited a while and more
and more people started arriving. It was about 12:30 AM and no sign of
Hanson. Then about quarter to 1 two people started walking out of an alley.
As they started coming to the Warwick, I noticed one guy looked ALOT like
Ravi, there old back up guy. I said "look I think that's Ravi" and Nicole
and Julie go "RAVI!" and so he signed autographs and gave us guitar pics.
It was cool.
Then unfortunatley we had to go. We woulda have to have paid $60 dollars
extra if we stayed cuz Ravi told us they were editing the Road to Albertane
and they wouldn't be at the hotel til 2 AM. So we had to leave :(
***********THE NEXT DAY*****************
So, I woke up about 9 or 10 AM and Whitney and her Mom had already had
breakfast and left us a note. When I woke up, my Mom was watching TV and
she said to me "Taylor, Whitney and Kim already ate breakfast. We need to
go eat to. And then we might go shopping." And I said "We're going to the
Warwick." It was really rude but I didn't care! And my mom said "Taylor, I
do not want to go down there and wait. Plus I have to meet my old sirority
sister for lunch." and I said "I DON'T CARE, you and Kim go shopping. Me
and Whitney ARE going to the Warwick." (I'm mean, huh? hehe) So then we
argued back and forth a little and eventually Whitney and her Mom came down.
I was like, "Whitney, my Mom doesn't want to go back to the Warwick, and if
we don't go now we're going to miss em :(" and Whitney's mom said last
night that 'under no circumstances am I coming back to the Warwick
tomorrow.' And so me and Whitney like, almost started crying because the
Warwicks in the bad part of town and they wouldn't let us go alone. So
after a while of convincing we all walked down there. Finally Kim said that
she would stay with us because she needed more Hanson in her life. (hehe
just kidding I made that up, I actually don't remember why she decided to
stay with us, I guess she's just nice!) When we got there, there were fans
there. Earlier we met a friend, Chartelle, who's grandma works at the
Warwick. Her best friend was cousins with Hanson, and Chartelle had had
dinner with them. So we talked to her and asked her if they had come out
yet. She said no. So then, like after talking to practically every fan
there, a white big bus pulled up by the back entrance where Avery came out
yesterday. All these men were putting in like equipment and all this rad
stuff. It was about 12. We had Kim wait at the corner to see if they would
come out the main entrance and then yell at us incase they came and we were
at thethe back entrance. Then after the white bus left the same old mean
bald, bad teeth guy came out and said Hanson wasn't here and they left on
helicopter. We were like "yeah right!" and some girl yelled really loud
"Yeah right old man you just want us to leave!" and I started laughing and
so did she. So later one, like at 12:45, two big blue buses pulled up near
the back entrace. One guy couldn't get one of them parked, because they
were so big. So, he left the door of the blue bus open, and went inside to
ask about it. When he left, I quickly started touching the door handle and
stuff. And some fans like stepped up the steps and looked in. I did but I
didn't see much! So Chartelle said to WHitney "Gimme your camera" and so
Whitney did. And Chartelle stepped in the bus and took a picture!! We
didn't get much out of the pic, but I guess that's good thing. We don't
want to invade there privacy. So, like 10 min of doing stuff about the bus,
they started loading things into the bus. I got a pic of the famous three
"planey Hollywood" leather jackets. (spendy spendy!) It was funny, it like
the biggest one first, then a little smaller, and then the smallest. How
cute! Anyway, so we were watching them load and unload. All of a sudden I
see my Mom talking to some man in a green shirt. I went over and started
listening onto the conversation. My Mom said, "Hi, I'm Candee aand this is
my daughter Taylor" and she stuck her hand out. (She did say our last name
but that doesn't matter now, does it? No)
He said "Hi, I'm Vince and I am Hanson's business manager. Nice to meet you."
And so I was thinkin, 'excuse me sir, are you single? My Mom is!!'
And they started talking and he asked if we liked the concert and blah blah
blah.....and then he looked at me and so, I said "Excuse me, but, umm, are
Hanson nice?" (I don't know what brought that on) and he said "Yes, they
are very nice." And I was like, "really?" and he said "yes, very nice."
And then I said, "Also do you know what door they'll come out of?" And he
said "whatever is closest to the bus"
And I said "Ok thanks, bye!" And so I left to go see the buses. When I
left, I looked over at where they were loading stuff in. I saw squirts
guns, and fire works, and lots of stuff. When I looked at the men loading
the stuff, I saw a little girl standing in back of one of them. I go "Oh my
god it's avery again!" I quietly watched her, and Whitney and chartelle
were right next to me.
Then I looked past Avery, and there was little Mackenzie! He was also
watching and drinking something. Then a man walked in front of him, and he
and Avery disappeared! I guess they went inside. Everyonee was like "where
did they go?"
So like 2-5 min later, there was a group of girls inside the parking garage
going, "oh he's so cute" and waving. I went over, and looked in, and
there's Mackie looking out at everyone and waving. I waved, and then
noticed movement to his left. I looked and Diana was seeing who he was
waving too. I saw him, and obviously she saw me, because I waved, and she
waved back!!! It was cool!
Oh and Chartelle had talked to her in the bathroom. Cool huh?
Back to Diana, so then she waved back at me and left, and then Mackie
eventually went away, So I left.
Then I was watching them load some more. Then Whitney came over to me and
said "Taylor!!! I think I see Walker in the window! Come here!" So I left
to go see. I looked in and there was Walker talking to someone. I tapped
on the glass but it was VERY thick glass so it didn't do anything!
Then later, the bus was leaving (to go to the main entrace) and I think
Avery, Mackie, a young boy like 11 or 12 yrs old, and the 17 yr old
babysitter came out the back entrace and the lady taking them was like in
her late 20's, early 30's. She started talking to someone, the other boys
were somewhere, Avery was with them, and Mac came over by me. He was like,
2 ft away, and was eating chips. I was watching him, and he stared at me
FOREVER. It was a SERIOUSLY long time. All eye contact and eating his
chips. It was really long and I had NO idea why he was giving me this eye
contact. I guess he just liked me :) hehe j/k.
All I could do was smile, I had nothing else to do. I didn't think to wave.
But he stared for quite a while, then the lady in her 20's or 30s yelled
"Mackie!" and so he left and went with her. They got in the car, I think a
Ford Explorer, and got out of the garage. I could tell that the lady was
driving, the 12 yr old boy in the front seat, the 17 yr old in the back with
Avery, and in the way back with NO seat belt all by himself was Mackie
eating hhis chips. It was so funny! But as they left I was waving, and the
12 yr old waved back!!!!! So, that was the end of that, and then I heard
some noises from the front entrannce. I ran to see what it was and I guess
they were going to be out soon. Instead of forming a straight line to let
them get through, some of the girls crowded around the door so that when
they came out they would only see them. Unfortuneatley I was in the
outside, so I thought, great now I wont be able to see them. We told
everyone NO SCREAMING, and everyone agreed. So I remember a couple of men
came out, then like a min later they came out. They shook the front girls
hands and stuff, and I can remember taylor saying "Hi guys" to the girls.
Everyone was screaming "Taylor, Ike, Zac!" or something. Pretty much the
same thing as screaming only not loud. I started taking pictures, and I
couldn't see anything so I held my camera up high, and randomly took pics.
Chartellle said "gimme your camera, I'm taller than you." I was like,
that's ok, but thanks anyway. So they started walking, Tay was first, so i
snuck into the mob and touched, I think, he hand and his knuckles. It was
great! I was like, "ok, two more to go!" So then i saw Zac, I touched from
his hand to his elbow! he had soft skin!!! It was REALLY great! And the
best part is, I saw Ike's hand just sorda lying there as he walked, so I
went for it, he saw my hand, and he shook it!!!!! That was SOOOOOOOO cool!!
And the weird part is, Zac was really shy. on TV, he's usually total
opposite. He was blushing the whole time and was really shy. It was cute.
So then they got on the bus, and I tried taking as many pics as I could, and
when they got on the bus, there's one window that's really tinted, and we
noticed a hand was in the window. We started waving, and the hand started
waving back. It was Ike! Then Tay joined in, and they would put there hand
up to the window and stuff, and Zac only waved from the way back. Then Zac
left, and as they were just about to pull away, Tay started doing the "I
Love You" sign with his hands. all the girls were like, "Oh Taylor! I LOVE
YOU! OH Taylor! Taylor!!! " and i was like, "umm........ok." I mean, it's
ok to love the guy, but when you see them you don't have to get like, all
weird and stuff.
anyway, so Taylor was doing the "I Love you" sign, and Ike was waving, I was
waving, everyfan was waving and then they left.
My Mom had left, and so i couldn't wait to tell her.
I loved that day.
